2015 Nismo lowered on stock wheels? pics and setups.
Wasn't sure to put this in the suspension area or not cause i wanted to keep this thread 2015 specific.
any one got pics of a new 2015 Nismo lowered. If yes could you tell us your setups ( springs, spacers etc) and post up some pics. Maybe even describe the ride feel. thanks |
Just got my Swifts in so should have pics soon.

I'm interested as to how this turns out

Best I have, didn't take a whole lot of pics prior to wheels. They definitely could have used some spacers, they are pretty sunk, especially with the little flares on it.

 love it!!!! I want those damn fender flares hahaha!!
|
I have a full set in PW with 600 miles on them i will sell :)

Also curious how swifts look! I'm looking to run Swifts with 20mm spacers. Stock wheels are ok. Aftermarket would be cool but with tires that's half a turbo kit even on used wheels

Have you rubbed the inside of the arches? I think we might if we run wheel spacers

I never ran spacers on my stock wheels. I run 20x11+0 in the rear with not problem on a 285. The front I had to roll and ended up with a very slight pull on a 9.5 +16 w 245/35. The issue will be the flares since they are kind of bulky on the inside brackets. Should be easy enough to shave off all of the inside mounting and lip since the double sided tape holding them on is fairly strong.

I just finished installing the the rear springs from Swift. I did the easy part, rears were simple. Tomorrow I'm going to a suspension shop to do my fronts. I went for a quick drive and i can tell you that the swifts definitely drive real smooth and tight in the back. Cant wait to get them installed up front. Ill have pics as soon as its done. Camber looks pretty bad in the back so im going to pick up some Cusco or SPL rear camber arms to flush out the wheels more.

Got the swifts fully installed, no noises and no issues.
quick comparison: The Nismo springs and setup was much tighter and stiffer. Feels like going from a race car to a 4 door sedan. It rides real smooth and tight but not as hard as the nismos. Overall im happy with the ride and the very happy with the drop. Installed some Stillen rotors while i was in there. Crappy cell phone pics for now. So there it is , 2015 nismo on Swifts. john |
Interesting comment about a 4 door, seeing as the spring rates are higher. Maybe I'll go coils

where can you get those flares?
