New 370Z Roadster owner with a small prob, help!
Hi all, my first post! I'm from the UK and bought a 2010 370z Roadster about a month ago (Black Rose in colour!) after owning a couple of normal 350z coupes over the years. Loving it so far, such a nicer place to be than the earlier one.
A problem which I noticed yesterday was that when closing my roof (unfortunately we have to clsoe it in the UK sometimes!!) the metal part opened ok, the roof came out and clipped in the front without a problem, then as the final metal part drops into position it kind of twisted on the drivers side (well your passenger side!). Opened it back and forth a few times and with a little help with my hand it dropped in ok. Is this a common problem? I have just sold my SL500 merc that had roof probs so don't want the same!! Could it be a cable adjustment? I've had a nose and it looks a lot simpler than the merc, I just wanted to see if there was any common things to look for. Cheers |

Well 2nd one in to welcome you. I've heard Andy there will soon be doing his lap in an affordable auto and missing his beloved Reliant Robin whilst doing it I'm sure.
On to the matter at hand. A helping hand with your hand means the top is not quite working correctly. Though not as bad as a Spyder Veloce I once owned that required two sets of hands to stow and sometimes three to deploy but I digress... IF you have any warranty, which I'm hoping you do, get a dealer to have a look. The top is a pretty complex affair and its likely after 2-3 years of use it just needs an adjustment hopefully not more than that. Check out the search option for top issues they do happen as can be seen by some posts. Check with the original owner if any work on the top has been done in the past too. Other than that I'm glad to see you chose the best colour the Z comes in Hopefully it will be sorted soon and you'll be zipping around ol' Blighty in no time with the top down.
