Just bought my second Z! Loving the 370!

I've been a happy Z car owner since 2008 when I purchased my first Nissan Z. She was a bright red '04 350Z Touring Roadster. Loved that car to pieces. Being a car lover I recently went with my sister car shopping as she is in need of a new car. While checking out Dealerships I happen to lay eyes on a beautiful Pearl White 370Z convertible at our local Nissan Dealership. Couple days after seeing it I decided to go back on a Sunday, just to check it out, thinking the dealership would be closed so I wouldn't be hassled. So I'm walking around the car, checking it out, and a salesman comes over. I guess the Dealership was open on a Sunday. He asks me if I want to test drive it. Couldn't hurt, right? So I take it for a spin. LOVE IT! Fit and finish, horsepower, looks... all one up my 350Z. Needless to say I went to just check out the car with no intention of buying it, and before I left the dealership that day I was the owner of a new 2010 370Z Roadster! Talk about an impulse buy. I live in the Vermont and its the dead of winter so I thought I could get a really good deal on the car (since no one is buying convertible sports cars in the winter). I got them down $5,000 below sticker price ($42,450) and got more than KBB value for my 350Z trade (which they really wanted) so I figured why not. Felt like a good deal to me.

I'm happy with my decision and excited to really see what this new baby can do in a couple months when the snow melts. The sad thing is that until then my new car is sitting in a storage garage as our winters are harsh in Vermont and I have a Ford Escape as my year round vehicle. All I can do now is watch Z videos on YouTube until then.

I have one question for you all... the one feature I am disappointed that the car didn't have on it is the Sport Package with the Syncro Rev Matching. The car had a 6 speed manual (which was a must for me) and at the time I wasn't too concerned that it didn't have the Syncro Rev Match, because I figured I can shift well enough and I was thinking it was more of a gimmick. After reading review after review and watching many video reviews of this car it seems the favorite feature they all mention is the Syncro Rev Matching! For you guys that have it (which seems like most 370Z owners do) what do you think? Is it a gimmick? Do you usually have yours on of off? Would you buy the car without it if you could do it again or is it a must have? I'm very curious to hear people's thoughts on this.

Congrats and welcome. I have a base model so I don't have the Syncro or S mode. It seems to be a pretty nice feature. But at the same time I pride myself in rev matching myself.

Waiting for spring. As fore your syncro question I cannot help as mine is a sport 7AT. Love the paddle shifter. Keep posting on the forum these guys can answer just about any question. Or atleast look smart while telling you they don't know

Congratulations on the new Z. You won't be disappointed.

I have a coupe with sport and touring. I really like the SRM for driving around town. It definitely makes shifting a no brainer. However when out for a spirited drive I typically turn it off. If you don't have it you won't miss it. Don't let it get you second guessing your nice new roadster.

ClemsonWill... thanks for the feedback regarding SRM. I appreciate your thoughts on this. Like you said, I won't miss it since I never had it. Good way to look at it.

The car is still in storage now but I am so itching for Spring time to drive it again. Took it for a nice long drive the day after I bought it (Jan 28th), in the cold snowy Northeast winter. Then cleaned it up and put it away in the garage

. I haven't even been able to drive the car with the top down since I bought it. Ugh! 60 more days until I should be able to awake it from hibernation.

Also, thanks to everyone else for the warm welcomes. I'm happy to join your ranks as an enthusiastic 370Z owner!

i am looking at the same car, white, black top, it has grey interior with heated and cooled seats. Can someone tell me how these seats hold up? i was wondering if the mesh holds up good.

i have grey interior, it holds up great but be careful with belts and stuff... they do cause discoloration if you don't clean the leather.

Welcome!! Congrats on the 370! Your gonna love it when warm weather hits! Im in Chicago so I know what your going through. My 370 still makes me smile when I walk past it to get into my winter ride. As far as the SRM I have it but I dont think you will miss it. Driving MT my whole life and I find it to be cool technology but not a must have, more of a conversation piece really. Enjoy and spring is just around the corner

You'll probably miss the sport package rims and tires more than the SRM. I think mine was one for a bit, but I mostly drive with it off now. Anyway, congrats!

Nice Roadster -- I've had mine for just over a year -- had her out a couple of times in the last 3 days as we are getting a bit of a respite from old man winter. Hope you enjoy your ZR, I'm certainly having a great time with mine.

Thanks guys! I appreciate it. I am also really liking the color. Definitely think white is one of the best colors on the 370Z. Especially the roadster.

SRM was a very cool feature, but I wouldn't miss it if I bought one over again. I would miss the brakes for sure though.
