Default Rear fog light

Can anyone help with the (fog light ??) at the rear of the Z. It is just below the Licence plate. I would like to have this operational but not sure about parts and hookup. I was told by the dealer this is a fog light used in Japan. Can I make it work in the US?

Congrats and Welcome!
I don't know how much this would Help? but here are two threads on the DiY install for the Standard Model your version maybe be different. Unfortunately not to many roadster owners have done this to have a DiY for your particular model. Unless someone with a Roadster can Chime in with this Mod to help .

DIY: of complete FOG LAMP install

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new 370z. You have joined one of the arguably, best car communities in the world.

At Z1, we offer an installation kit with wiring harness, instructions, diagram etc for around $18 without the fog light. The installation is simple and can generally be completed within an hour or so.

Check out our kit and JDM fog light here:

Z1 Motorsports JDM Reverse Fog Light and JDM Reverse Fog Light Installation Kit

The switchable harnesses will run you around $100+. Our kit is much more afforable and does not require a massive amount of time and removal of interior panels.

Again WELCOME!

USDM Z isn't pre-wire for fog? All I would need is foglight harness kit and rear fog?

It's pre-wired. You can get the Nissan JDM kit, but the stalks will be reversed. There are other alternatives such as wiring where it basically stays on with the lights or install a kit the comes with wires to a rocker switch. Check out Z1 motorsports and do a search on the forum. This topic has been well covered. Welcome to the forum.

Real rear fog light at this site:

Nissan 370Z Lamps / Lighting

and I'm trying to tap in to the parking light with the standard harness wires on the right side of the rear fog light housing. Also check out this site for more info:

DIY:REAR Fog Light install with New harness for US spec 370Z + Radar hardwire w/pics

I need to find out which color wire to use. You can see the main harness junction in the trunk. I'll post my finding in a week or two.

Orange for Brakes / Light green for Parking

If remember correctly

If you are deadset of getting the turn signal stalk to include the fog lights. See about getting the Canadian-spec switch. You might be able to call up a dealership across the border and have it shipped over. The Canadian-spec models are LHD and have the Reverse Fog Light from the factory.

I don't have a part number, but it should be pretty easy for a dealership to source.

Is US ver 370z already pre-wired for rear fog? Many say that our car in US isn't pre-wired. I look behind the rear bumper and I see a wire harness plugged, assuming it is pre-wired. Thank for your helpful info Dustin.
