New '10 370Z Roadster Owner

Hey all,

Just picked up my '10 370Z Roadster MT.

It's magnetic black fully loaded with sports, touring packages and NAV.

I've only managed to put 60 miles on her so far, but its been a blast. This is also my first manual transmission car, so that is adding a whole new experience. The sync-rev match is very impressive, and a godsend for me right now.

Congrats. I got mine 4 days after you. Loving it so far ... If it would just warm up a little it would be perfect top down cruising weather.

Beauty...always have loved convertible Z's!

FirstZin83 01-21-2010 09:52 PM

Great looking car. I almost/kinda which I held out for the 2010 just for the convertible. I do like the seats better, but still couldn't be happier. I thought the SyncroRev was kinda niftly initially, but I use a manual tranny like a primary brake and rarely tap the brake pedal unless I'm at a stop light. Matching RPM's on downshifts doesn't help the car slow down much, so it's been off since.

Baller Status, the 370 Roadster looks SOOOOO much better than the 350, the a$$ end on the 350 Roadster always bugged the hell outta me, reminded me of a Chrysler Sebring convertible.

Hi seaning. I ordered a Roadster in red and after seeing your MB, I’m thinking I should have ordered black! I still have time to change my order since its going to take 2-4 months! I’m driving a red 370Z coupe right now and love the color. Can you offer and advice about owning the black Roadster? Swirls, keeping it clean, etc.! My choice is down to red and black.

seaning 01-25-2010 05:57 PM

1. Garaged with dust cover and this is not my daily driver.
2. California Duster....this works great to get the dust off and keep it looking clean.
3. Shop Vac for the roof

Is that an Alabama hat in there? :)

Rob46 01-29-2010 10:33 AM

Just ordered my 370z roadster. will be released in OZ and delivered late feb, wish I could see 40th anniversary quartz in the flesh before I blow a small fortune on the wrong colour tho. locking into a decision on colour from the website swatch is scaring the bejeezus outta me.

Rob46 01-29-2010 10:35 AM

oh and I hope the steering wheel is on the RIGHT side not the wrong side :o)

Draco 04-17-2010 12:59 AM

I've heard that doing that is hard on the transmission. Better to heel-toe downshift or use your synco rev. Burn brakes, not transmission fluid where possible. Brakes are cheaper than a new transmission!

aiiite dude! I got a 2010 black cherry roadster 6 speed last week tooooo:rofl2:

Sandra Dee 04-19-2010 11:58 AM

someone told me to use the downshifting for brakes-I thought it sounds nutz:shakes head:

vipor 04-19-2010 12:07 PM

Brakes - $200
Transmission - ? (more)

I will downshift when coming up to a light where the cars have already started moving. Otherwise it's Neutral and brakes.

Sandra Dee 04-19-2010 12:12 PM

congrats!!! you will LOVE it. ask around about caring for the convertible top-I was told to use RAGGTOPP. Supposed to prevent early leakage.:icon18:

Sandra Dee 04-19-2010 12:21 PM

yeah Vipor-I have replaced one transmission in a truck once-was thousands. In no hurry to do that again.
Any ideas on how to preserve the convertible top in the roadster? I just got a 370 Z

Sandra Dee 04-20-2010 08:59 AM

awesome pics seaning-you have a great eye! I bought a black cherry one last week and have not taken pics yet-need a morning to do it. Congrats on your beautiful car!
