2k13 Nismo

So...

After driving for like 2 years a 2005 350z base model With Stillen SC stg. 4, i decided to say goodbye to that awesome car. This was 5 speed auto. I bought this not new with 28k miles on it.

Well, this happened on feb 02 this year.

On March with no key in my pocket i said nismo time!. I took my phone and called from Lima to the US to pre-ordered a NEW 2013 Nismo lol don't even know what number will be :p

It's been already 5 months since the first time i did the 1st call. It is suppose that mid of July the 2013 arrives from Japan to the Us and it will be delivered to BP (My dealer) on the 1st week of August.

From just buying a car i ended modifying alot...

My Z will be packed with:

FROM NISSAN

2013
Pearl White
Standard “Nismo” Package
Illuminated Kick Plates
Carpeted Trunk Mat
Nismo Carpeted Floor Mats
Illuminated Ash Cup
Wheel looks

FROM AMUSE

Full Vestito Kit + CF lip + CF wing
Titanium Brace Bar T2
Custom Titanium R1 Silent Front Pipe Nismo Spec
Custom Titanium Extra STTI with B Tail + Gold ring

FROM BERK TECHNOLOGY

HFC

FROM AE PERFORMANCE

Oil Cooler

FROM ENDLESS

Mono 6 Anodized Blue Caliper and Anodized Blue Rotor Hats

FROM MCR

Red Tow Hook

FROM NISMO

Valve Stem Cap Set
S-Tune Oil FillerCap

FROM SUNLINE RACING

CF Roof Cover Gloss finish

FROM STILLEN

G3

FROM HKS
HYPERMAX 3

FROM TOMMY KAIRA

Heavy Baby Shift Knob
Rear Fog Lamp

FROM VOLK

TE37SL Bronze 19x9.5 +22 - 19x10.5 +12

FROM ZELE

Radiator Shroud
CF B Pillar Cover

My Tuned Z will arrive in September. Can't think about the Z because time is poison...

Now that you read this maybe you will be asking yourself why the **** all this for and why not i haven't touch the engine for more power???

Let me tell you:

1st. The 350z that i had was the 1st powerful car with over 43x hp but it was auto...was really fun but tasteless and boring

2nd I can't just add a TT to deal with 600HP RWP (i want it...) on this nismo because i never drove a manual sport car beside an eclipse 3.8 GT 08'

3rd I must know my car first before adding more power.

4th Another reason is the taxes here. You guys are really lucky somehow because when you import anything auto part from the US i gotta add 43%+18% over those numbers. Beside this my currency is almost 3 times which means $ 1.00 = S/. 2.68. So when the car arrives to the port everything will be installed and no extra cost. (27% more of taxes based on the invoce)

I got 2 questions that roams my head

1. Is really necessary to get an oil cooler for my Z??? This car going to be a street daily driving. I was going to pick the Ae cooler but they said it is not for sale anymore

2. I chose the stillen G3 but i could change my mind to get the Super Induction Titanium Kit w/ Carbon Shroud and Suction Pipe from Top secret. Don't know if spending like 2 grand for 2 pieces of tubes will improve something comparing the G3.

Haven't decide what suspension get (I must have 5.9 inches height because of the stupid speed bumpers)

This is for now, i will post pics later :rofl2:

Tell me what you think

PLEASE If you wanna give me an advice go ahead

If you gonna troll this better keep it to yourself.

Re: oil-cooler. Do you plan on taking the car to the track...at all?
If so, go ahead with the oil cooler. You'll need it.

For normal street driving, you can likely deal without it. What are the high-end ambient temperatures where you are?

Well, mostly this will be a daily driving but if i could of do some laps with the Z. The temp here is 57 F° winter - 89 F° summer, depends...but yeah.

Right now is between 65 ~ 72 F°.

Hi

TerribleONE 07-10-2012 09:22 AM

nice list of parts

theDreamer 07-10-2012 09:26 AM

Nice list and welcome.
One question, why did you get the Nismo and then decide to rip off the OEM kit and put the Amuse kit on? Could have saved some cash and gotten a coupe with a manual.

TerribleONE 07-10-2012 09:27 AM

:werd:

KaienZ34 07-10-2012 09:28 AM

What are you doing with the stock nismo bodykit since you are going with the amuse bodykit??

theDreamer 07-10-2012 09:30 AM

On the suspension, the Amuse kit sits about 1.5" lower than the OEM kit so you will not be able to do much a drop with your speed bumps. Though many kits from TEIN/KW/etc. will allow a mild drop while providing a quality upgrade.
The intakes, tough choice, the TS intakes do provide a solid performance increase but for 2k they can be very pricey. Honest opinion, coming from someone who has gone through numerous intake options. If you plan to go forced induction skip them all, or at the most do some K&N filters for right now. The money will be better invested in waiting for your forced induction kit in the future.

Hello, thank you.

At first stance it sounds pointless to rip all that comes with the car but the price difference wasn't too much and because i always wanted a Nismo since i felt in love with the Z. I put this sexy amuse kit because it looks awesome. Its a Nismo if you know what i mean...

Put it inside the container. (Kit, brakes, wheels, exhaust, cats, pipe, plastic intake)

Oh right! I got told the same about the amuse kit. The kit will take away about 1.5 inches lower from the Nismo ground clearance. I don't plan to lower it because i will rape my kit.

I was thinking the same, 2k is expensive. In a near future (2 years or so) i will put a TT, i think.

Can anyone tell me what is the height of the Nismo bodykit to the ground 7.9 inches??

KaienZ34 07-10-2012 01:34 PM

You could sell your OEM nismo bodykit to make back a bit of money.

I'm not even sure what to say....but WOW! I can't wait to see the pictures.
Can I ask what you think you might pay over the same car to the US?

omm370z 07-10-2012 01:48 PM

The last one!

So today i closed my mod list (while waiting for the car to arrive) with the upgrade for the oil cooler.

I wont be tracking much but if i do this oil cooler upgrade will be very beneficial to my Nismo. Just overall performance, durability, etc

omm370z 07-10-2012 11:28 PM

Question

Can any one illuminate with what kind of clutch comes with the Nismo?

370ZNISMO#704 07-11-2012 12:13 AM

Ok just off top of the head there is a built in mild oil cooler on the new models and if u get a uprev tune u can have ur fans kick in at lower temps which means ur engine will be fine on oil temps. Plus with all the breather mods u WILL have to retune it. It will lean your air/fuel out way to much it will not be in spec any more.

The same one that's in the base 6MT 370Z, i'm prety sure.

'10Anamoly 07-11-2012 07:43 AM

Add an Uprev tune to your list.

I would not be worried about the oil temp because i will plug AE oil cooler. Now
you and '10Anamoly saying that i should get an uprev and some gadgets??.

Well guys please explain me how that works. I saw it adds HP and TQ but how the uprev works? im lost.

Uprev is the tuning software which will add HP/TQ but will actually help balance out your AFR. Running some mods is fine, but opening the car up to what you want will cause the system to be out of balance and could possibly hurt your reliability.

So this is a safe thing to do then? No engine mods for now

'10Anamoly 07-11-2012 12:44 PM

Perfectly safe if you have a good tuning shop, but wait until your mods are done.

Yes of course and also waiting for the numbers that i will get with all the mods.

omm370z 07-18-2012 09:01 PM

So guys this is my report so far.

There will be no Nismo at all...Why??? because after the past weekend i changed literally all and i was thinking myself why the nismo then if a TT will do the job even if i don't know how to drive it (i don't care)

omm370z 07-18-2012 09:17 PM

New y pipe and nismo exhaust for sale

So i must sell this two parts that i wont use on the car. Amuse already made them and the shape won't fit for other models than the Nismo

Here the pics but referential for now

Titanium custom exhaust for the Nismo US model with B TAIL+GOLD RING
370ZTUNE.com

Titanium custon pipe for the Nismo US model
370ZTUNE.com

Both on stock and on the way to California from Japan

*The prices aren't the same
