I live in the greater Boston area and also own a 2010 MB Nismo. I've only seen one other Nismo in the area (a pearl white one).
Where abouts in Boston are you located? Send me a PM. Maybe we can hook up sometime. I've got the name of a great tuning shop here, when you are ready to do some mods (they just installed an oil cooler on my Nismo).
Welcome!
Jim
Thanks! I haven't seen any other nismos... plenty of Zs tho. I'm in Arlington... for the moment, I'm not too interested in performance mods, the oil cooler being the only likely exception in the short term. Did you check with your dealer to see if that would cause you warranty grief? Which cooler did you pick up?

I'm a little more interested in exterior/interior mods... I'd like to tint my windows, possibly get smoked headlights (though it seems this may be illegal in MA -- but all the info I've seen is conflicting, and couldn't find anything definitive on the RMV site). I'd also like to upgrade the stereo -- I'd like something that sounds better than the stock, but doesn't cost a fortune.

Are there any groups that meet in the area? Getting together would be cool.

Hey welcome.

I'm North of Boston and no we haven't had any meet ups yet, really need to set one up before the cars go away for the Winter. The only "meets" I've done in recent days are for auto-x or track Still haven't seen another 370 (driving) at either. Another auto-x tomorrow, w00t!

I think the oil cooler is a definite requirement for the Nismo if you are going to track it. Don't understand why Nissan didn't build this into the Nismo. I am not too concerned about warranty. The car is not a DD.
I had the Stillen oil cooler (19-row) installed. Had Kaizen Tuning in Acton do it. Great shop! I highly recommend them. In fact they've got an anniversary get together at their shop next Sunday, 10/10. There's a posting somewhere on this forum about this. Come on up. I'll probably be there.
I spoke to the guys at Kaizen Tuning about window tinting. They seem to know the details (i.e. law) and can line you up with a good shop to do this.

ChrisSlicks,
I see your posting every now and then about auto-X events at Devens. I'm still breaking in my car (only 900 miles on her). As soon as she's broken in I definitely want to do some track events (though at the rate I'm going it will probably be next spring). Any local clubs, or websites, I can connect up with for track time and auto -X events in the area?

Jim

Nice... A buddy at work does Auto-X at Devens... he has a Subie STI but runs with the BMWCCA. You ride with the Corvette club? I think I saw a post somewhere on the net from someone driving a Z who rides with them...

I haven't done any autocross yet but I'm signed up for the BMWCCA autocross school at Devens in October. Registration is still open but you're not likely to get a spot if you're not already registered... there are like 30 people waiting already.

Cool, nice to hear that your heading directly to the auto-x with it like I did

I run with 3 clubs, SVT, SCMC and the BSCC (Corvette club) out at Devens, they all list on Motorsportreg.com. These clubs cap at 55 cars so there is more runs and less crowded. I've done the BMW school before and it is usually a good experience. Their auto-x events are well run as well, just too crowded for me.

Steve Hazzard (helps organize the school) is a 370Z fan so he'll probably want to drive your car
