I love mine but it needs??

I have a 2010 nismo. I realy love the way it drives, looks, performs, but why does the oil temp rise like no other? (280 in 15 minutes of giving it a good drive) 78 degrees by the way. I know how to fix that but my paint job sucks for 38G's. I guess i expected more for the money. Not knocking it for the most part but my chevy has a better paint job, and its a truck for crying out loud not a beatiful sports car. How does your measure up? Are you happy with yours?? I am very happy with my new car but i did expect more for the money I paid. Im Ready to hit a track soon!!!

Not really sure another oil temperature concern warrants yet another thread complaining about this issue... I mean, there is already another thread by you complaining about it, and everybody else who has driven their 370Z in a spirited manner knows it runs a little hot.

*shrugs* I'm just saying.

I installed an oil cooler (modshack DIY) and noticed some nice temp decreases. try that?

as for the paint, mine's been great so far...had it for a year, maybe I got lucky?

Yea im doing a DIY oil cooler soon. Im with ya on the everybody knows. Just not happy with the factory paint job. Kinda sucks for the money we paid for these nice rides. Gonna try and get some help from the dealer tomorrow. (Cut and buff is all they need to be sharp). I love the way I can throw this machine into a turn. The understeer is so easy to predict. Cant wait for some track time. Glad I got it.!!!

I would highly advise against letting the dealership compound or otherwise buff your clearcoat. We already have a thin, soft clearcoat as it is. They obviously won't take it all off, but enough to cause you problems when you detail your paint down the road.

Yea im with ya on that. My friends that paint for a living dont want to touch it. Alot of orange peel in mine for some reason. Wonder if the gtr's have it. I would hope not for 80 thousand plus on the sticker. My pop's have's a ferrari and just wants to give me hell, but I can understand.

Orange peel is bad on almost every new car, even Porsches and other high-end makes. New "eco friendly" painting techniques probably have something to do with it. Luckily Ferraris will always have a brilliant proprietary clearcoat that is almost flawless from the factory. Wish our Z's came with the same.

Yea exactly on that. I'll tell you what we have had some Lotus esprite cars and these 370's are not far from it in the mountain turns around the upstate. This is my first japanese, handling sports car and its great.
