Just got a 2009 370Z Nismo
I picked it up last night from the dealer. It's uh... the same as every other black factory Nismo.
So far my potential modlist looks like: 1. Stillen hi-flow cats 2. Better head unit (recommendations?) 3. Coilovers + VHR suspension (see http://www.umbrellaautodesign.com/) 4. Replacing stock seats. I can tell Nissan wanted light seats, but these things just feel cheap. |

Grats on the purchase man
Some things to look at around here: 2009 NISMO Registry DIY: Oil Cooler Installation on a Nismo (Damper Included!) - vipor Homelink Rear view Mirror http://www.the370z.com/nissan-370z-g...ase-issue.html ^ Might still be relevant to your car since it's an '09.

Thanks for the welcome!
Ah, yes, the oil cooler! I knew that but forgot to list it. Thanks for the link to the Nismo specific install. I'm also glad to hear that you can still fit one with only reversing the mass dampener. As for why anyone would take it off is completely beyond me... As for the HomeLink, I had that on my 2008 350Z and the added thickness really blocked my view when making turns. Ideally I'll get a head unit with a rear camera hookup and just remove the rearview mirror altogether. I mean all I see now is the spoiler anyhow. I'm sure someone sells a keyfob style garage door opener too. |

Also check your suspension setup to make sure there are not some transportation pieces left over. I know you are getting something else but hate to have you riding around with those on.

"A" rear view mirror. I believe it's actually 2. So it can be just the 2 outside ones. Kind of goes in line with the fact that you're allowed to black out your rear windows.

I'm also supposed to have a front license plate too, but no one really cares.
The rearward visibility in the Nismo 370Z is even worse than it was in my 350Z. The glass between the B and C pillars may as well be non-existent and the spoiler leaves me with a small bisected box to peer out of when driving. Swapping to a full-time camera and removing the rearview mirror will give me much better visibility behind me and through the dash when making turns. Now I just need to settle on a camera system and where to mount it on the Nismo. The stock models have a little knockout panel that works as a great spot for the camera, but nothing yet has presented itself for the Nismo. |

Just drop it in right next to the License Plate Lights. That's where I'll be putting in mine.
A LP Frame Camera is one thought, but probably not.
