So the shop put these heavy duty clamps on and it solved the problem. No more check engine light and boost is consistent. Getting it tuned next Thursday so will post results.

Those are constant torque clamps; keeps constant clamping during temperature change.
If they start pushing off; then use the T-Bolt clamps.

I’m going to PSI in Hillsboro OR on the 7th of June to get a custom Tune and Map and to be put on the Dyno. When that is done I will post all the results. On another note I am not liking the sound of my Injen cat-back exhaust. Really quiet which is fine for some but not for me. My AAM Short tails sounded great but just a little to loud. Anyone know of an exhaust that is just a little less louder then the short tails? Maybe something in between the Injen and AAM Short tails? The shop said they could take the resonator’s out. Maybe that will lively it up a bit.

I’ve got the Cobra Catback along with de-cats on mine and it is very noisy.

The aam short tails have a perfect sound if you pair them up with Motordyne art pipes (resonated test pipes)

Hey Guys I keep getting a P0300 code coming up. This code was happening a lot when the cupler was loose or came off but after putting on the new clamps that code stopped until yesterday. I was driving in the back roads having fun and boom the check engine light came on. I checked the clamps and they are holding and the Z is running great with consistent boost. Here is a screenshot of what it could be. I really think there might be a small leak in the cupler. I’m taking the car to the shop on Tuesday to take off the resonators and then the tune and Dyno on Thursday. Also I have to stick with the stock cats because of my stillen supercharger. They said the HFC will create way to much heat and test pipes were also a no go. I’m looking for a cat-back exhaust that sounds great without the aid of HFC, test pipes or headers. I got to stick with the stock cats. Thanks everyone for the input.

Do you know if the shop put in colder heat range plugs w/a tighter gap?
As the Turbo boosted cars do this; unsure on the Stillen SC setup.

So looks like my motor is blown. I’m so upset That I haven’t even wanted to post what happened. My car is BRAND NEW under 400 miles. I haven’t really got to drive it just to the shop and back. As soon as the Stillen kit and tune was put on I was getting P0300 code plus idle was up and down. When I took it to PSI they said there not going to tune it until they find out what is wrong. They got a P0304 code. They checked compression on cylinder 4 and it was super low

So this is Stillens shitty tunes fault. So PSI stopped there and said we can’t tune a hurt motor. So now my brand new 2018 370z Nismo is fukd. It’s now back at AR_Auto and they said they will put a brand new motor in but it’s a month out from Nissan. So this is my update. Sorry if I don’t respond back until I get more info. I can’t believe stillen is willingly sending out tunes with no knock or timing. I just paid $45k for this car.
This is unfortunate and reason why I do not want to mod my 370Z. Is it covered under Nissan new car warranty or the mods voided the Nissan warranty???

Good luck,

Ian B

Plus the motor and car is brand new. I’m waiting for answers from the shop and what stillen has to say about the tune they sent. The SC was put together per stillen’s instructions and there warranty guidelines.
Very sad to hear. Breaks my heart.

Going forward, why do you need a new engine? Can you find a decent shop that can pinpoint exact failure and replace parts as required?

Did you check oil and oil filter for metal?

Without removing engine, you can boroscope the cylinders and MAYBE remove oil pan and check bottom end.

I know this is happening very quickly but just trying to give advice and you can refer to it at your pace.

In the end, if it's cheaper to replace engine, so be it. However, I'd look into it a little more.

Good luck and keep us posted. We want to hear some good news.
