Another new owner here!
Hello!
I recently purchased a 2016 370z Nismo Tech (had about 14,500 miles on it). I've been driving a 2005 Chrysler Crossfire SRT-6 roadster, which I think I'm finally ready to resell, to help pay for the Z. Looking forward to learning more about this car and maybe attending some gatherings too. (I live in Frederick County, Maryland. Not sure how much is going on out here?) I've always been into sports cars and owned a number of them over the years, but never a Z until now. Always wanted one, ever since one of my friends bought one back when we were in college. (I remember us thinking how high tech it was that the car talked, saying things like "Your door is ajar." and "Fuel is low." Heh.) |
welcome to the club, enjoy the car and driving it

Welcome :hello:, have fun with the new Z. I've always liked the looks of the Crossfires.

Welcome

Good choice.
What color did you get? |
re: Crossfire, etc.
Thanks.... Yeah, I drove the Crossfire in to work today, and I'm having kind of a tough time parting with it now. Wish I could afford to keep it AND the new Z, but that's really unrealistic.... Already have a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon I'm still paying on.
We do have two pre-teens coming up on driving age, but if we get them anything, it's going to be a cheap, basic car that gets good gas mileage ... not something high performance. The Nismo really feels "tighter" all around and the brakes feel much firmer and more responsive than the Crossfire ... but with the custom Eurocharged tune, the Crossfire and the Nismo Z put out about the same HP. At the end of the day, the Z feels like the superior performer, but that Crossfire holds its own for being 12 years old, and having used older generation tech from Mercedes even when it was new! re: color
I went with pearl white. I had the option to get a black one ($1,000 more expensive and about 7,000 less miles on the odometer). Just couldn't see why I'd want to spend the extra $1K over 7,000 lousy miles though -- and thought pearl white shows off the curves on the vehicle more, while black sort of makes all of it "understated".

Gotta love the Pearl White! That's iconic Z color. Congrats!

I actually still need to take some good photos of it. The weather around here was all rainy and lousy until just the other day. This week will be much better for that.
I do have one pic of the side of it, in the garage, though, with a custom vinyl decal I had made up for it. Quote:

Looks good man! I've got the 'ol Jeep Rubicon/370z Nismo combo too (2003/2011). You're set for all driving conditions :driving:
