Hi everyone! My name is Piper and I'm from the Chicago land area.

After my rough start of getting rear ended the week I picked up my new baby, I finally got him back. I have a 2014 Manual Touring w/ Sport package in white. The car is such a blast to drive even though I've just been driving casually. Being from the Chicagoland area, there isn't really a place to open him up.

I'm slightly curious the RPM where everyone shifts for casual driving and also looking for any tips on shifting when trying to pick up speed quickly. I've only ever driven manual on casual cars. Owning a sports car is quite new to me.

Sorry to hear about the accident. Congrats on the new Z. Regarding shifting, usually it's the shift from 1-2 that most folks struggle with. On the 1-2 shift, I rev mine to about 3K and then hold the clutch in longer than normal and execute the shift with the clutch pedal all the way to the floor. Then I let off the clutch. Seems to work for me and shifts much smoother. Good luck and welcome!
