Just moved to South Bay area from San Antonio Tx
Hi, I just moved to Torrance area from Texas. I previously drove a '90 miata, bought a 2010 Pw m6 370z... and drove to California. I got here on June 4. I'm excited about living on the west coast, but not about making the adjustment to the traffic out here.
Thanks for reading |

Welcome to Torrance. This is an escape from LA. There's Redondo, Hermosa, Manhattan, etc. It's not really LA although it's considered part of LA county; Torrance is an independent city.
I've been to Texas too, for business. I been to all the big cities like SA, Dallas, Austin, etc. Too hot over there, this time of year. |

@depointfive0 yo. Houston drivers are horrible. The only thing I enjoy about Houston is Chinatown off of Bellaire by the galleria. Yay, I hope you do! I'm the one with the tint that gets me pulled over every time I forget to roll my windows down .
@Edk370 I really enjoy the beaches out here! And all the Asian food everywhere. I miss a lot of things about texas, especially whataburger. I like in n out well enough, but it's not the same... and Austin is the best! I love 6th street! @z-girl thank you! I look forward to it! @zilverbullet haha! I have a few friends in sf, so I'll be heading up there soon enough to visit! @trips lmfao thank you!! Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk |

^with all due respect, Whataburger is sick. I had it out curiosity and thought it was gross. You want the equivalent (seriously), try Burger King. It tastes nearly the same. I dislike them both.
But if you really want DAMN GOOD burgers, try In-N-Out. That's a CA treat for you. I know these are only in CA maybe AZ and NV, but not in Texas, the Midwest, the South, the East Coast, or even the Northeast. Also, try Tommy's Famous Chili Burgers...damn good but bad for your health. There are lots of copycats with the same name in southern Cali tho. The real ones, off the top of my head, are on Rampart Bl. (the original location in LA), Pico and Santa Monica (in Santa Monica) and a few others. Asian food, try China town for authentic Chinese food. Very greasy, clog up your arteries, but damn good. I don't know any off top of my head. But there's this place that serves some "butter shrimp." So F'in good but full of calories and fat. I had it once, but won't return because it's good and will kill you if you eat it often enough. There are lots of other good ethnic foods like Mediterranean, Indian, and so forth. LA is a cornucopia for delicious ethnic foods and fine *** womens...of all flavas But a lot are stuck up and can be superficial. Forgot, LA drivers are either horrible or inconsiderate a55holes. The Prius drivers will try to cut you off too LOL. Hey yo, but I forgot, Smashburger is damn good. I had once in the Midwest and I hear southern Cali is going to get some soon. Try 5-guys burger as well. They're aight I thought. Also try Fatburger...Oh gosh this is turning into Food network haha. Last edited by edk370; 06-24-2014 at 03:04 PM. |

Andrew, how dare you not invite sushi to the monthly meet. Since you didn't I will. Of course I don't have the link on my phone so I will leave it to you or Trips to put up the link for our meet LOL!
Welcome sushi!

In n out is NOT a "10", it's a SOLID 8. But it's ALWAYS an 8, it never changes. From CA to UT to NV to AZ to TX. Always an 8. We go there for comfort, we KNOW what we're going to get, and we know it's going to be made right. Smashburger WAS good, they killed half their menu and it blows IMO And holy sweet baby jeezus I hate Whatapieceofshitburger... Don't get me started... Tommy's FTW. Quote:
OP, the meet is the first Saturday of the month in Cerritos, I'm the fat mofo with the blue car. I'm gonna talk shít, get used to it, don't take offense If there's anything else I can help you with, I'm close by, hit me up, let's get a beer

@royaltyb @de I saw a post about it while I was lurking... I guess I've just been intimidated because I'm stock. Haha.
I had in n out a couple of days ago. I liked it a lot. And the only reason you feel the way you do about whataburger is because you didn't order correctly. When they say you can customize it however you want, they mean it. Haha. |
