Default Cayenne s owner buying a 370z

Thinking about buying a 370 z. Test drove a automatic and a manual. The automatic in manual mode seemed just as quick as the 6 speed. How much of the sports car experience do you miss by owning a automatic. Also have there been any mechanical changes to the car since 2009.
