Finally!
Well it took a while to get approved on this forum but glad to be here. Right now, I'm debating between a 370z and a BRZ to purchase a couple months from now so I'm doing a bit of research on both. I love the Z but the BRZ fits more into my budget.. But hopefully I can get a decent deal for a Z with sports package (as I have noticed many people here recommending over the base). Hope I can learn a few things on this forum when it comes down to what to expect, which year is the best, and all the other misc. stuff before making a decision.

Welcome aboard :tiphat:
Why did it take a while to get approved? Are you a :stirthepot: |
You have to be approved? Welcome! Definitely recommend a 370 if your budget allows it

Is the Z base and Z sports package that much different? |
1st off dont go knocking the base! I have a base and to me there is no point in getting a sport package. I intended on changing all the parts out with better upgrades, (why would I pay twice for parts) But if you are not planing on doing much mdding I would go with the sports package. And I would not settle for the BRZ...

The BRZ is a nice car... it was my second favorite after driving every sport and muscle car under $40K. But it is too slow. It badly needs a turbo. If it came in an STI model it would be a real player. Until then, I'd stay away. You will get bored with a NA 2 liter motor. The Z lacks a little in driver feel but over all performance and especially straight line performance is a whole different level. Nissan just lowered the MSRP on '14's by 3K mostly to compete with the BRZ. For low 30's you can get a '14 base Z with the sport package. You get a lot more car for you $$$ with the Z. A limited BRZ is close to 30K and it needs a $5K Vortech and then it still wouldn't have the balls of a stock Z. Good luck with your choice. I struggled with the same choice in September last year and choose the Z. I'm glad I did.

Well I believe the color I want is Monterey Blue but I think the year it ends is 09-2012? Then the 2013 model brings out the Midnight Blue? Can someone confirm this? It seems as if both those colors are kind of rare to find.
And the difference between the refresh in 2013 is: • LED daytime running lights • Red reflector added to rear fascia • Revised 19-inch aluminum-alloy wheels (Sport Package equipped models) • New 18-inch wheels for 370Z Coupe • Red-finished brake calipers (Sport Package equipped models) • Dark-finish fuel gauge trim • Euro-tuned shock absorbers Correct? |
Welcome!

Welcome. If for some reason your budget won't allow you to get a 370Z, have you ever considered getting an '07 or '08 350Z?
