Traded a FRS for a 370Z

I finally did it...I traded in my 2013 Scion FRS for a brand new 2013 370Z w/sport package. Both cars are black and both have manual transmission. I owned the FRS about a year now and it was great at first but never really what I wanted. The car looks fast but on multiple ocassions failed to perform. I understand the whole drivers experience blah blah blah but you cant experience that when you are in traffic 5 days of the week and need to drop 3 gears just to have enough power to get up and go to pass someone. The big hype of the FRS really isnt experienced as often as one may think. I dont track the car and I dont really make it out to the canyons here in AZ to get onto the twisties. Even so, I think the 370Z outperforms in my mind over the FRS. Sure there are FRS' out there that could whoop a 370Z but it would have to be heavily modified...im comparing stock to stock.

Anyways, I am glad to be apart of yet another forum and look forward to reading what this place has to offer.

Congrats on the Z. I'm very interested in this spork package. ;)

Welcome!

I went for a test ride in a FRS before buying my 370Z and while they are a good looking car it just didn't have enough power.

DR_ 12-10-2013 08:28 AM

Good trade

Well I work off Broadway, but live in N. Scottsdale so if you see me. Honk!

Theres a great deal of 370z's in the Tempe/Scottsdale area. Let me know if you are ever wanting to go on a cruise or photo shoot etc..

I want to post pics but the car looks terrible. I am having it cquartz by a detailer and currently trying to get the dealer to pay for the 1st and 2nd stage of buffing which is required due to the crappy job the dealer detail shop did when i took delivery.

But just for kicks Ill throw up some cell phone pics later. :)

You chose wisely…Welcome.

Megan370z 12-10-2013 02:05 PM

Welcome on the forum !

I wish we traded car !

Tadpole 12-10-2013 04:50 PM

Congrats on your purchase. I met a guy with a turbo'd BRZ and I ran faster times than he did at the drag strip. I told him he should have paid the extra 5k on a Z than sinking in that car.

/Angelo350Z/ 12-10-2013 04:54 PM

Congrats and welcome. Was your FRS modded?

Yes it was but for more show car than actual racing. Here are a couple pics and its different set ups.

The 370Z though will stay stock the only thing Ive done to it is just a double din headunit (that steering wheel control was fun to install) i forgot to ground a wire so the entire time i thought something was wrong with the Axxess.

Anyways here is my other toy. A 2007 Triumph Daytona. I picked it up in New Mexico a couple months ago and it only had 1500 miles on it. It came in an ugly grey so i tore it down and had the plastics repainted, new tires, oil change, cleaned the chain, new exhaust, and windscreen.
