New 370Z owner

First time Nissan owner and last.Drove the 370Z and really liked the car.Have owned now for a few months and enjoy the car and really have nothing but good to say about handling and mechanical aspects.
Wish I could say the same for the paint on the car.I have always owned black cars and take care of them also.I have had nothing but difficulty with this paint and seems impossible to stay on top of it.It is garaged and when out if a bird as much as looks at it the paint is stained and very, very difficult to keep nicely polished.
At first I was confused and thought I'am doing something wrong but it didn't take long before I realized it isn't me.Had I been on this site prior to buying it wouldn't be in my yard!I'am very disappointed and disgusted.
To purchase a $40,000 car and have such a problem it is a shame.I've always owned Toyota's and Chevy's and have never had a problem with a black car like this!
Also reading about oil consumption of the 350Z's and very disappointing!
Tells me that Nissan doesn't care much about there customers or there reputation.Thought they were one of the top of the line but now I wouldn't recommend Nissan to my worst enemy.

Sorry you feel that way about your car guess you should have done more research.

And black cars are hard to keep looking nice, You should have went with a PG if you didnt want to wash it all of the time

I've had my MB 370Z now for two months and I have not had problems with the paint on mine. However, I did get a Clearbra installed on the complete front bumper, full hood and full front fenders so that probably helped. I also keep it covered with a car cover when I'm not driving it to protect it that much more. I too am sorry you have had problems with your Z. I have not had the oil problems discussed either..for now.

When purchasing a Nissan Product you must understand one thing. They make neat cars, but their paint jobs $uck................... The first thing a new Nissan owner must do is cover the front half of the body with a "Clear Bra"!!!!!!!!!!! That takes care of the problem. It's a shame, but true. After doing that you won't have anymore major complaints.

Thanks for the tip on the clear bra because I was unaware they had such a thing. If you would please give me any info on where to purchase the clear bra I would appreciate that. Thanks!
I was kind of teed off some yesterday when I wrote my first article about the car.I garage keep and take care of my cars and have always had black cars so I do realize they require much care to keep nice.It just seems no matter what I do the clear coat is easily stained and it don't take but a bug or bird droppings. They don't have to be on the clear coat but a short time and it just is nothing like I ever experienced before with a black car.So that kind of disappoints me with what these cars cost.
Anyway I guess I should have done more research before purchase as someone mentioned on a previous post.
Other then that problem we love the car.Actually bought it for the wife and she is very happy with it.Naturally I have to take care of it for her so the extra care being as the paint is terrible is just aggravation.
Thanks for the advice and enjoy your Z!

I purchased my Bra from InvisibleMask.com (I used Catalog #1). There are several others out there also. Most are made by 3-M. Just do a search and it will turn up several.

BTW, is your blown deuce a coupe or a roaster? Highboy or full fendered?

Sorry I took so long to get back to you. Also thanks for the tip about the clear bra and where to get it.
My 32 is a roadster highboy.Took six years to complete and a lot of money. So that is why I bought the wife the Z!She never bothered me and stood behind me building it so I have to her them happy also.Although I don't know if they are ever satisfied.
So you have a street rod?
