and the front bumper cost me like 1200

no i didnt get hurt and the guy i hit was being a baby and is prolly gonna sue me. he got out of his car all mad and stood up and everything then wen the cops got there he acted like a wuss

i would be pissed if someone rear ended my car from hell like you might have done.



front end is done... is it declared totaled??

its not declared totaled but i think the engine got messed up and it was leaking a bunch of fluids so im guessing its gonna be

my front bumper was FRP so it probably looks alot worse. the guy was driving a hyundai sonata

leaking fluids means nothing, if the frame is damaged....that's bad
if the engine shifted, that's bad, if the tranny shifted, that's even worse.

I dont know I guess I'll find out in a few days if its totaled but it looked bad and i had to watch them rip my front bumper off (even though it was messed up it was still sad)

Were you going about 30 when you hit him? I wouldn't call him a wuss--that probably messed him up.

his wife had previously worked for insurance and i was going about 25 and i was fine and he had got out of the car and acted perfectly normal until the cops got there. the cop took my side and told me he was fine and that its just mandatory that they take any one who complains to the hospital

i was turning right out of a neighborhood and I looked left and no one was going and on my right were high bushes and I couldnt see the traffic stopped so I went and then bam

i know a friend of mine got money from the city for a stop sign that was almost completely covered and he hit someone bcuz of that.. actually i think they both got something from the city for it cuz its the city's responsibility to make sure that stop sign is visible

That's a good question....according to my insurance company, yes....according to Fairfax County police, no. I was never sited for the accident nor was a ticket given.

However, just this past saturday I came home to a letter from my insurance company....the driver has gotten himself an attorney so we'll see how things go from here. :icon14:

Sigh....I know exactly how that feels. I hoped the same thing when I woke up the next morning but when I looked down and saw the cast on my left foot....I knew it was all too real. And yes, my rates went up....and yes, I got full replacement value on the yellow Z.

Well if you are going to be sued at least you did actually hit someone. I am currently being sued by 3 punks that I never actually hit. It was a trap at a light in a bad neighborhood in East Baltimore. I was in my Cadillac behind their 92 Buick Skylark bucket. The driver jumps out and starts saying I hit him. I was like no way, got out to check for damage. There was none, but he started claiming he had injuries and tried to get me to give him cash. I called the police, and of course he denied extorting me. He started saying he wanted an ambulance and then changed his mind. The police told him he had 36 hours to go to the hospital. Unfortunately the Baltimore City police are lazy as hell and wouldn't do a report or any investigation. If they would have done that they would have found that he was driving on a provisional license in a car not registered to his name and with no insurance. There was also a baby in the car and no car seat. The cops knew he was scamming me. They told me that, but they did nothing. They could have cited him for numerous things. Now the driver and 2 passengers are suing me. I guess the baby is too young to fake injuries. A week later a girl in a Nissan Versa slammed into the back of me at a stop light. It was then that I decided the Caddy was cursed and I went and got a Z.
