After one week...

After owning my 2009 Black 6MT for one week, I have to say OMG!

I didnt expect all of the attention this car generates, at times I thought I was going to have to start signing autographs.

I didnt expect to not want to get out of the car, sitting in the drive way trying to decide where to drive to next after already putting 1000 miles on it in the first week

I did expect to totally love it... and I do!

the car is a thing of beauty.

I know what you mean when you say "sitting in the driveway not knowing where to drive next".

I always try to come up with some minor errand to run so I dont feel like im wasting gas/time and am at peace with my inner self :D

welcome

Oh I know the feeling. Especially since we have some great back roads here in your/our area. I get a lot of people asking if I like the car and I always tell them, "Yes". Then they ask me, "what do you like about it?". I tell them all the same thing. "When I turn the car on, it returns the favor!"

Wanted to find out if you have detailed the paint since you got it? clayed it, paint correction, polish, Wax etc?

swoopdeville 05-07-2013 07:44 AM

I waxed it but that's about it for now. I'd like to do a full detail and use the clay bar but I'm hesitant because I've never used it before and don't want to mess up the finish. I've seen the great write up on the forum so I may try using that as a guide.

This is an awesome forum!

Welcome :)

Just a few tip, clay bar is pretty safe as long as you follow some simple techniques. Adam's polish has some great how to videos online. If you can find a good shop that does a clear bra installation, that would be the first thing I'd have done especially if you intend to daily drive the Z. Our paint is rather soft and nick's easily. Be sure to clean off any bird droppings right away or it will etch the paint. It's a pain to fix, especially on a black car where it's more noticeable.

congrats and welcome to the club
