Newbee Buying my Z the end of this month
 

Hi All

I'm Buying my Z the end of this month. My last Z was my my first car ever in 1979 a 73 240z (god I loved that car!)

I think I have my choice narrowed down but doing inventory searches no one
seems to have what I want. I'm in Houston the forth largest city in the country
I find I hard to believe I can't find one here.


Black Cherry
Coupe
Touring with Sport
Nav
Automatic (I like the paddle shifters)

What do you guys think a fair price would be. I'm thinking 43k or so

The Nissan web site shows that I can add the NISMO CBE and NISMO Rear deck spoiler I'm considering these

Ideas? Suggestions?

I had the same problem, not being able to find the car with the specific options I wanted. I tried CarsDirect and they found it (which btw I am getting this Thursday if everything is good to go) for 500$ below invoice.

You may find better CBE's for cheaper from vendors rather than going with the Nismo CBE.

You can also try expanding your search to other cities (Say Dallas, etc.) or even neighboring states and see if your dealer is willing to do a dealer-swap with one of the out of town/state dealerships.

OR

You can do what I did, find one out of state (only two of my exact car were in the Western Region and a local dealership couldn't see them for some odd reason), fly out, purchase, and drive it back! Granted, I got to go to Vegas for mine, so it was a little bit more fun. :happydance:

I just put a deposit down on a certified black Nismo that's in Green Bay. I should have my financing situated this weekend and hopefully the car in a couple weeks. I'll be in Houston for a wedding in late May/early June and am planning to go with FI CBE. So if you're still interested in a Nismo exhaust by then, I could probably give you a decent price on mine.

I think it's based on opinion, as some say the car comes broken in. I babied it for 1500mi.
