Greetings!! NEED HELP!
Hello everyone! I currenty joined the forum. I am 'for sure' purchasing a new 2013 370z in the next month and need some advise. I have been stuck between getting the Nismo or Sport Pkg.. After getting the car i plan to immedietly start working on building performance/suspension. Soo my question is which is the better buy for the money and why? Any response would be helpful. I look forward to starting my build. Thanks!

If you plan on changing suspension and exhaust the Sport pkg is probably the way to go unless you're in love with the Nismo body kit (can always get the nismo body kit aftermarket, it's just expensive).
Really the Nismo is only good for the exclusivity factor. fwiw I have a Nismo. Would I buy it again if I had the choice? You bet. |
Yes i do plan on changing both. I definitely understand what you mean ab the exclusivity! The nismo is way sexier but how much of a price difference am i looking at? Thx for the reply

Base + Sport is 36,150, Nismo is 43,020 (pricing off Nissan's website). fwiw the full OE (not S-tune) Nismo body kit including wing is 6,133 from z1.
I can tell you from experience that if you plan on going with higher end performance parts that you'll spend more than just the price difference between the sport and the Nismo. In the end just do whatever makes you happy. Nismo or not the Z is a fun car. |
Okay thanks for the info. Yea i know it can be veryy pricey! Ill prolly just go with my gut and get the nismo. Hopefully ill still have some extra cash left for the exhaust im wanting when i get it.

Ive heard alot of good things ab those. But ive actually had my mind set on gthaus. Very expensive but i think itll be worth it.

You will feel a ride difference from the base to a Nismo. I had a base 370z then upgrade to the Nismo edition. Well worth the extra money. I don't plan on tracking my car much but it had the looks I was wanting. Plus I'm wanting just turbo this one as well. Plus body kits can be expensive, reason being is that some body kits will run you thousands of dollars and that's with them not painted or installed.

Me personally the Nismo was not worth the extra money. I like the sleeper factor or the base (sport) model (if there is such a thing in any Z). I couldn't justify the power/performance to price difference. I guess when you factor in the body kit (if that is your thing) then yes the price is worth it. For my it was I wanted the slightly modded and knew I was going to upgrade parts anyway. I probably could have got away with a base but at least the brakes and wheels and diff were worth it. My 2cents.

Personally, if you were to keep the car 100% stock, and/or you DIE for the Nismo body kit, get it... If not, don't, don't even think about it, that 18HP "upgrade" is offset by the extra weight. To me, and I think many agree, the Nismo is just a base+sport with body kit and the tinsel of "go faster" added. I have a Sport Touring, and I'm happy I do. A LOT of people complain about the base seats and while the seat heaters add weight the leather makes just a sports car into a sport "luxury" car |
If your going to change the exhaust and the suspension then why not get a base and save allot of money.
