New and confused: (
Hey guys I'm new to the forum I'm from the dfw metroplex and I work for GM on on the market for a new car and really loving the 1le camaro I just can't stand the headroom! But I also have a soft spot for the 370z considering I drive. Maxima now. I can't make up my mind. Oh and I'm 6'3" insurance isn't a factor nor price there in the same area and another thing is I'm really looking at going forced induction on one of these I know they both have ungodly potential also no kids or any anchors so 4 seats isny neccesary either just me and my girl. Any help: ) is greatly appreciated I can't make up my mind!

Price not a factor? Forced induction? Hennessey Camaro it is.
|
Haha let me clarify the price isny going to choose as in if I was gonna spend 40k on a 1le I would spend the equivalent on a z I'm not gonna buy a base z because its cheap as ****. Make sense?

Both great cars, I'm glad I got the Z though. I'm 6'2", 225# & fit in the Z fine. Houston to Dallas 2x month with 1 stop at Buc-ees. Not tired at all when I arrive & I'm almost 40.:twocents:

I also used to have an '09 Maxima, and the Maxima's door line was a bit lower to rest my elbow on for really long drives, but nothing to dissuade me from buying another (I rest my arm on the top of the door, there is/was a permanent on both my cars, LOL) |

Welcome!
I don’t understand the Z/Camaro comparisons that always pop up. They are totally different cars other than being in the same price range. So it is going to come down to comfort for you. Couple of the Pluses for me: The Z looks better hands down and there is way less of them on the road. |
^WAYYYYYYY less on the road... I don't really remember how the Camaro was, but the Z has a terrible blind spot, but you get used to it and learn to angle your mirrors differently, lol

Here's what I did/currently doing.....bought a base 09 Z...strip interior, engine, adding all new brake kit from rotors to coilovers, and planning on customizing my own body kit. If money isn't an issue then I say go with the Z since IMO find it more stylish...but then again, to each's own:tup:

I'm 5"9 and 151lbs and feel I hav just enough room to be completely comfortable. Ur 6'3 and can still fit comfortably? Wow! Anyway, I see atleast 5 camaros a day...its insane. I'm like dang what are they like $12K?! Anyway, i love the rarity of the Z and hands down its just freakishly sexy.

But yeah, the seat is all the way back, all the way down, and I don't drive leaned back at all either... I DO like the rarity of the 370Z too (especially with JDM tail lights ;-), I see like 10-15 Camaros and Mustangs, I think they look great, don't get me wrong, I just like my Z more. |
I think I've decided!

Either way, stay on the forum an come out to one of the DFW 370Z meets! We like all cars (One of us is a traitor and has a 5.0, and we still allow him to come to meets, lol) |

As long as you're happy who cares.

I'm messing, brother, enjoy whatever it is that makes you happy! Hopefully I'll see you at one of the meets and if you DO come out, tell me when and I'll try to see if I can persuade the member with the Camaro to come out too! Her car is the green one on Vossen's website |

:bowrofl: well if you want a me too car then go right ahead lol |
Lol, I honestly don't mind either way, we're all car people and we like different things!
I will say that I have never been or visited a forum or group of people as awesome as the 370Z people... Hell, a guy from OHIO was helping me with Calculus last night!!! It was midnight his time!!! That's truly 1 in a million |

that's just how we Z folk are....two days ago I saw a 350Z on the shoulder of the freeway with its emergencies on....I pulled over to help a fellow Z brotheren out.....plus it helped that the 350Z owner was a hot chick :yum: |
any and all car people are welcome here, no matter the age, car you drive, cars you like...whatever....... we all enjoy CARS , we Z folk just happen to love the Z a tad bit MOWR! ;) BUT there are all sorts on this forum ......Mustang drivers, camaro drivers, Viper Drivers, S2000 drivers, miata drivers, BMW drivers, GTR Drivers. ...... we are here for a simple yet common interest......CARS :yum:

Hey, for me is about how much you can customize and the Z is way more flexible than the camaro |
