New and confused: (

Hey guys I'm new to the forum I'm from the dfw metroplex and I work for GM on on the market for a new car and really loving the 1le camaro I just can't stand the headroom! But I also have a soft spot for the 370z considering I drive. Maxima now. I can't make up my mind. Oh and I'm 6'3" insurance isn't a factor nor price there in the same area and another thing is I'm really looking at going forced induction on one of these I know they both have ungodly potential also no kids or any anchors so 4 seats isny neccesary either just me and my girl. Any help: ) is greatly appreciated I can't make up my mind!

Price not a factor? Forced induction? Hennessey Camaro it is.

airbus 11-27-2012 12:37 AM

Haha let me clarify the price isny going to choose as in if I was gonna spend 40k on a 1le I would spend the equivalent on a z I'm not gonna buy a base z because its cheap as ****. Make sense?

hmmm, well, the 'maro will have more hp potential when you go FI since you're already starting with a big v8. drive both, and which ever one you like the driving dynamics and "feel" for the most, go with that one. Camaro will most likely be easier to get better traction with when you add more power vs the Z. Also, don't forget the Z has a shorter wheelbase too so consider that if you are going to be adding 200 whp or so to the car as far as to how it will drive/behave.

True. I drove a base z 2011 I believe and hate the seats but for some reason there was headroom. And I like the rest of the car a lot as well as the camaro. The only reason I think the camaro is good power wise is it seems to be so much easier to extract power from this small blocks than it does or v6's and I know it is harder but Idk it seems so much more exciting to destroy a v8 with your v6 than to destroy other v8s and 6's with a v8 make sense? I hate making decisions involving large amounts of money!

Both great cars, I'm glad I got the Z though. I'm 6'2", 225# & fit in the Z fine. Houston to Dallas 2x month with 1 stop at Buc-ees. Not tired at all when I arrive & I'm almost 40.:twocents:

I'm 6'3" and by far and away fatter than any of you guys, I LOVE the Z, SOOOOOO damn comfortable. I made the Dallas Houston drive 10's of times... And I made a trip from Dallas to Los Angeles EASILY, no back pain, no nothing... (And I'm prone to back pain)

I also used to have an '09 Maxima, and the Maxima's door line was a bit lower to rest my elbow on for really long drives, but nothing to dissuade me from buying another (I rest my arm on the top of the door, there is/was a permanent on both my cars, LOL)
