Default Hi Folks

Hi everyone. Just another fan of the 370 checkin in. Im a car nut like many of you I'm sure, and after seeing the released photos of the new Z went to find a 370 forum and here I am.

This car is awesome. Nissan did a great job redesigning this. I won't get into the details of what we all already know, I'm excited like the rest of you. I wish they could have dropped it into the 28-3000lb range BUT it's still AWESOME all the way around.

See you in the forum.

Hi Pianoman , welcome to the forums. The new 370Z looks amazing and Nissan did their homework this time. Even the displacement of the car went up (3.5l to 3.7) and new safety protocols required them to use more heavy reinforcements to keep the Z safe, Nissan was able to keep it lighter than the current Z. I really give Nissan for doing that.

It's good to see another car enthusiast on the forums. What's your ride now? do you have any pictures?

True they did drop it from the current Z.... And your right, Nissan really did do their homework on this. It seems as if they started at the front of the car and just went through the whole thing until they came out the backside and ended up with the current 370z.

I heard somewhere that the optimal wheelbase for a RWD car was 99inches. Now I don't know if that's true....but maybe that's why Nissan cut it down to 100?

My current car is a '03 20th Anniversary Edition Golf Gti. No modding this one. It's Fwd with no LSD... I needed a good, reliable DD with some sport and this fit the bill...

I've previously owned 5 1990-1993 Turbo AWD Eclipse/Talon's and 4 1991 Honda Prelude's, three of them equipped with 4-wheel steering. And no, I never drag raced with the Honda's.... Their slow..but 4* of rotation of the rear tires makes any car handle good! I've spent enough money and enough time under jack stand's I should have my ASE certs..LOL..
I also ran a small "shade tree" shop for the past 4 years, working mainly on Eclipse/Talon/Lasers..

I've always been a big Z fan though. Especially some of the older 240/280'z that have been done up with widebody fenders and deep dish wheels. There just that classic fast back look. The 300's were great because of the power you could tap out of them. I will say I was never a fan of the 350's interior...It was always kind of lacking, to say the least. This is one area that Nissan REALLY picked up on the 370 and I am impressed. I personally feel as if this 370 is more "complete" compared to the Z33. The inside matches the outside, and the performance matches the car. Lest we not forget the awesome sound that the 3.7 makes!!!(basing that off the exhaust systems i've heard for the G37)

This car with a turbo/super kit, and some beefier suspension components will turn it into a real supercar performer.
