New 370 bodykits need support
I have been talking to Extreme Dimensions about a couple of my designs that I think should be on the 370s roster . They asked if I had any support for the kits yet I said no . I made this account to get that support check these 2 out and vote on your favorite.
Up first is the retro with modified headlights to bring back original Z styling as well as a subtle body with clean lines for the classic Z enthusiast. http://i1217.photobucket.com/albums/...504632_n-1.jpg Next is my Outrage design. This kit is not all show every passage through the front fascia serves as a directed passage for air cooling for: oil coolers, front brakes, intercooler, and air filters http://i1217.photobucket.com/albums/...581_6064_n.jpg Pleas support these designs so we can push the envelope of Aero design Thanks, Joe. mastervisionary@gmail.com |
Bump 30+ views no votes please vote or leave feedback thanks
Please vote, Joe |
I have worked with ED before... it's not to bad... however, they want a lot of money for the molds so if you are looking to own the design, be preapred to have money for that...
as for the designs... well, I will say this, your artistic ability is great.. your designs however, are not so spectacular... I say this as a fellow designer... you have potential... my suggestion to you, if be original, and come up with some more angles/views. I have a kit I have set aside for when I can afford the molds, and I am also bringing a hood out here very shortly... |
I've never been a fan of glue-on body kits.
|
Thanks for the input and I want to design for a company ..
Isamu could you email me directly I have a lot to learn and you seem to have some things you could teach me |
Bump please vote
|
personally i like both, cant decide either or because both look good and add a certan quality to the overall original design of the 370 that really embodies it. i seem to be drawn more towards the first design but cant seem to let the 2nd go..
if they do come into production which im curious to see, hopefully its affordable. i vote both. |
sorry dude, too transformer for me... maybe less cuts or holes. As a graphic designer I have learned that simplicity is key ;)
|
I would like everyone to look at both kits before criticizing my creativity as the first design is most definitely not" transformers" these are just two of my many designs and personally I prefer the first one myself the designs differ drastically to show my versatility in concepts . The lights in the first one make the design for me with the lights in the bumper.. another thing is all my designs are created around airflow and each opening directs air to an air filter, fmic, oil cooler or whatever you position in the stream ..thanks for the input please keep it coming

I like the retro design but with lesser cutouts. The outrage does not match the rest of the car. Did no seem original but clearly shows your interpretation of existing designs. The retro takes cues from OEM while the outrage is a spin off the amuse/fujimura with sharp cuts, angles, and cut outs.

Oh fyi these were drawn when the first official pics were released before I ever seen any kits for it next up is the new Mazda 6

From just a personal perspective:
I feel like the first design, perhaps made a bit more subtle, would have better suited the NISMO. I don't like the retro headlights as I'm actually a big fan of sharp angular design. Needs less cutouts, but since it pretty much is the stock front with more cutouts, I can't really say if this will show much change. The sideskirts make more sense (I don't know why the designer had them point the paint side toward the ground...) The second design, looks pretty cool. I'm sure the ducting could be very useful. I cannot stand eyelids, though. Is that a T top? uh. why? There's way too much going on, and I'm not sure you're actually getting much aerodynamic benefit, mostly a show benefit so you could show off a massive intercooler or something. However, as an engineering student, a lot of things kind of stand out... Both designs have a lot of components which introduce fresh air to the engine bay and related accessories. There must be some engineering involved to avoid massively increasing drag because you actually have TOO much "ducting." Also, with that much ducting, you might end up lowering downforce on the front end, which is bad if the kit is any good for aerodynamic purposes versus just show. |
If you look at outrage the hood vents are pushed forward to allow air to flow up over and out
And retro I saw this 79 that sparked that design and it was meant to be just that the way the bumper lights were on this old Z evolved into what you see and it was intended to look nearly OEM the skirts are smooth no drama the entire design is it for me And as far as the t-tops y not they were on every Z until the Z33 |
Way too busy for me
|
Not really a fan of either one honestly. I think making changes to the lights though may look cool, 1. Makes it look like a 350 and 2. People usually want kits that can be swapped like pop the old bumper off put the new one on. That first one would require new lights and front panels In addition to the front which if you want to do it is awesome, but I feel like it's more common for people to just change a bumper or side skirts and not a whole kit.
|
The retro is based on a 79 z that I saw as far as the corner lights/vents and headlights and once the fenders were modified and retro lights installed the front fascia could be changed at will I kept the centers relatively OEM cause these were drawn before any kits were released as these are old designs of mine
Outrage I mean look at the name it is meant to be extreme And let's be honest most kits are cookie cutter and have been using the same templates for years my kits are designed around the car individually Pleas vote I would like at least 50 votes so please vote please And as for the T-Tops Any Z lover knows every Z had them up to the Z33 |
Retro
tbh I like the way the first design looks
(my opinion) i would like the lights to be more of a 350 fashion (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...Yeoh/z39v1.jpg) pros: Vent below the hood Side vents The way it dips on the bottom corners reflectors Cons: The holes under the grill lights The "inner grill" being left alone ps: If this kit was released i would defiantly consider it (if the lights were fixed):icon17: |
imo just keep the headlights as is. the kit is retro, not the headlights. as it is the key aspects to differentiate 370Z from previous Zs. just my 2 cents :)
|
The lights came from a 79 racing z I saw I will try to find a pic of one to put the design in perspective
|
My 100% honest feedback is kits on imports scream rice to me. Unless track tested, wind tunnel tested straight out the factory oem. Examples that come to mind would be Nissan’s Nismo 370z or Honda’s S2000 Cr. I’m ok with that but after market just for looks no thanks. I rather see stance with nice rims. As far as your drawings go I can respect that.

You can run with this if you want.....
Retro cues for the Z34 to follow the S30! Headlights, stay as is. Side mirrors, make them smaller. stock Z34 hood, the creases have them connected at the behind to look like the Z33 HR hood then back into the Z34 at the windshield. If you can comprehend that keep reading... Z34 Nismo front bumper, remove the built in carnards smoother like the Z33. Enlarge the mouth, and add the led side markers and Z34 S-tune lip. Molding it to be one piece. are we tracking? Z34 Nismo rear bumper, exaggerate the vents, and extend the diffuser. With all that I just described you can always add vents and make it look more mean. I mention it in the photoshop thread, and I really think it would look fantastic! DRAW IT NOW |
Hey smart *** these are the designs like them or not there they are vote or don't .
And how is it a design if I use someone else's parts |
:drama:

goodness.... retro then...calm down... |
Ur entitled to your opinions. But vote before you think what ever you say is constructive criticism. I would vote for the second one. It might be a bit ricerish but I mean most body kits do like the amuse.and.fujimura. but I would buy the second it appeals to me more

Now that I look again the second design looks like a fat rx8 xD

It does look like a squished RX8 now that you mention it...
|
Thank you for being positive... no are feelings
|
Always stay positive man, but your gonna get folks far worse than me when it comes to putting your own work in the public light!
|
That's why I must stand my ground else be overrun ...and by someone else's I meant other than my own concepts for the design
|
roger roger
more drawings then 2d front/side profiles |
