I must say I was disappointed with the reliability of the BMW. I had always owned Asian cars and they were bullet proof. The Bimmer reminded me of old American cars. Made funny noises when cold, electonics were troublesome. Had 2 window regulators go out at $500 a piece. Thermostat for $400! Final stage resistor on heater for a forget how much. Two broken springs for like $700. Plus many other small items. I was driving the same roads as my Honda and never broke any springs. I'm in my early sixties so I certainly don't abuse my cars. Other than all that, the Bimmer was great. Love the Z so far...I feel more confident in it's reliability too.
