Lookin to buy my First Z

Hey there guys. Awesome site you have here. I dont own a Z right now, but have always been a nissan fan. Daily Driving a Sentra Spec V right now lol I always wanted a 300zx TT but i cant justify the prices for the condition they are in for sale right now.

So for now im just trollin around and getting some information on the 370. Going to buy used, but torn between a base model (which seams to be hard to find) or a nismo. Love the body kit on it and they are much lower mileage than other used 370s obviously. Weighing price options on aftermarket parts and body kits. And if even though the nismo comes with an "aftermarket" exhaust would i still be better off with a different aftermarket one. I know i will be told to use the search button, so no need to mention it again lol I have been reading through all the pages looking for all the info.

Again, thanks for putting this great site together for guys like me just looking for information :) and the name is Joe btw lol

Price difference between a base model and a Nismo can get you a lot of aftermarket upgrades. If you are into modding, you can buy a base model and do your upgrades, and still be under Nismo's price while experiencing similar or better performance.

I would say buy the base and mod the **** out of it! :driving:

Modding is more than half the fun...ok maybe not. But it is a lot of fun. A great amount of pride too. Especially when someone asks about something on your car and you can say. Nope I did that! :-O

I agree with everyone here, buy a base and make it your own.

im just thinking, the price of a full body kit, plus paint, plus install is going to pretty close to the price difference right now. There are a couple nismos around mefor like 32k and only 5-10k miles on them. Opposed to all the bases that have 20-30k miles. And i cant find any that dont have nav and leather and the sport package lol It all comes down to i guess what is available at the time of funds in the next month to month and a half lol I do appreciate the input though from you guys.

Welcome to the forum. This is the best place to start uying a 370Z. Within an hour on here, you'll know more about the Z than most salespeople can ever tell you about it.

Take the advice from those above and run with it.

Yeah there is definately a ton of information on here. I was a sponge with info on the 300z, now i get to start all over again lol I am pretty good at always making sure I get the best pricing on all my cars. Being a former math major and working in sales myself, I definately never get f**ked on price or payment interest lol

Hopefully see some of you guys at some meets this upcoming summer.

Im in the same boat as you man. Trying to figure all that out. I am kinda leaning towards the NISMO also. Figure if i dont like something I can change it, plus it gives me an idea on what I do and dont like.

Hi

jofro6 03-25-2012 04:18 PM

Well good luck to you also Z1st... i started getting some prices this weekend. So far i can take a silver touring edition loaded with everything except sport package for 37k... or a black cherry base with sport package for 31k tough decisions, cause colors near me are hard to come by and i really wanted a red or a black

Welcome...... If your looking to mod the heck out of teh 370Z, then go with the base model. If your not looking to mod the heck out of the car, then go with the Nismo.

jofro6 04-15-2012 10:22 PM

Ended up with the touring model, love it
