Hello from a newly grad
Hello everyone, I love this forum!
I am going to start my job in Colorado in August and thinking of getting the Z as my first new car. So I am really new both in Z specifications and in dealing with dealerships, and please forgive me for any amateur terminologies. :P I am looking forward to learning from you guys here~~ Got two questions to start with: 1. It seems to take some time from ordering to getting it. When should I start looking for dealerships if I expect to have it in Aug or Sept? 2. For the weather in Colorado, are there recommended specifications that I should be looking at? Thanks! |

1. Seems to take about 3 months from order to delivery. 2. Touring/Sport. Heated seats to keep your butt warm in the winter. The Sport package comes with all the other goodies like SRM, which is a must if you go M6. Make sure you have a second car for winter.

What i would do is go in a dealership now and find out the process of how to order one. Find a dealership you want to work with. I'm assuming weather in colorado gets icy. I know a lot of people on this forum have a second car to drive in the winter, or they swap to a seasonal tire for the winter. Hopefully that helps to direct you in the right area. Welcome to the forum! |

welcome to the forums
1. if you want an '10 model....expect end of year or early next...but start looking now and see whats up......some take longer to get b/c of the colour combo, packages you want...... which colour combo/packages do you want?? 2. recommended specifications..ummm the sports package is totally worth it, big brakes, LSD, forged rims, spoilers.....good stuff.....if you got cold days...block heater i guess and get separate rims and tires for winter tires.... |

Thanks so much for your replies! Thanks for the winter tire tip and the extra car reminder!
The sports package sounds great. But does it make much sense to have it if I am going for AT7? not sure about what to get at this time (M6 vs. A7)... it's been years since I drove a manual last time. I'm liking the GT color right now. It seems on the website that you only have black cloth as the single interior option, no grey or orange, unless you go for Touring. What benefits does Touring bring? Is it worth it for the price (does it help with icy days)? Hehe. Lots of questions... Hopefully I will learn fast and soon be able to help others like you guys~~ Last edited by SunnyZ; 05-31-2009 at 02:43 AM. |
