New member in Canada eh.
Hi everyone, been lurking for a while on this forum and have learned a lot about the 370Z.
I finally went for a test drive today in a 2011 sport auto and was lucky enough to have the salesman give up his seat for the wife. Thought I would give my impressions as my first post. First off I found the power delivery was great. Definetely a little flat off the bottom but opened up quite nicely in the upper revs and pulled hard to redline. Car felt solid and handled well but unfortunately in the city there wasnt a lot of opportunity for cornering. Interior fit and finish was good, I see why everyone complains about the silver fuel gauge but it didn't look as bad as I thought it would. Stereo was the Bose with nav and sounded just OK. I would buy it just for the integration as my hearing is blown from years of too loud stereos so I don't care as much. Finally road noise and NVH. This was to me nowhere near as bad as every tester and several forum members have indicated. Probably the blown hearing again here LOL. Most noise to me came from the rear tires and only on rougher pavement. I went over some brand new asphalt and the tires were silent so different tires would be a fix. The engine and exhaust sound great to me! Overall I'm totally impressed with this car and hits all the right spots at its price point. I will be ordering a 2012 next week and then a 3 month wait begins. |

Thanks, maybe I'll get lucky and the dealer finds what I want sooner. I read somewhere that Alberta dealers get more Z's than other provinces. That was the first place my dealership searched. Thanks to this forum I've already spent at least 10K in mods in my head! Will post pics as soon as she arrives.

Went for the gun metallic. I like the way it looks with the wheels. I have a black Murano which looks sharp but pita to keep nice. Spent $500 with Auto Obsessed in Edmonton for all the detail goodies just to keep the black the way it should be. To me GM is the right color to hide dirt and scratches and still look decent between washes and details. Any GM owners want to comment? Am I on the right track so to speak?
I've read so many great things on here about fast intentions exhaust it seems like a must have! Wifey is gonna kill me when she sees the bank account LOL. |

Yes, GM is a good choice. I really wanted GM but saw a BS on the lot and worked out a great price so I ended up with the BS. I don't regret it either. The BS looks clean all the time. lol
You're going to love the car no matter why colour. Oh and Troy at Auto Obsessed is a great dude, I buy all my supplies from them.

Yes, the Fast Intentions exhaust is pretty awesome, check the tread in the intake/exhaust section, nothing but satisfied customers. There are some other good brands like Berk, Ark, etc but the F.I. was well worth the wait...especially for those Carbon Fiber Mufflers
