Hi from a future owner
Hey all,
Wanted to introduce myself. I live in Atlanta and I am planning to purchase a 370z in July of this year (as a birthday present to myself). I've finally decided to give up Mustang life after 11 years with a 2001 Bullitt. Just can't take the lack of precision and build quality anymore. Plus, the whole "You should buy American" argument from friends just isn't swaying me given the repair costs I've been incurring. Test drove a number of sports cars and the 370z is the clear winner in my price range. Wanted to get involved in this forum now rather than later. Will post photos of my 370z as soon as I have it. My intent is to purchase a Gun Metallic Manual with Sport and Touring packages along with the SatNav console. Glad to be here. Mike |

Welcome to the forum! I had a '03 Mustang GT before my 370Z.

Thats great that you are buying the Z as a gift to YOU. That has been my biggest mistake over the last 20 years of buying cars (other than my 280).
I looked at a mustang before I bought my Z. I really liked them. It's really hard to compare the two cars, performance wise (not saying thats being done here but I see it on other websites). I don't know why folks try to put them in the same category of sports cars. I almost walked out of the door with it because I needed the additional room AND I loved the fact that it was a V8 and there were many more options out there to add/mod; however, my wife asked me this one question: "What do YOU want for YOU?" After 10 years of compromising between me, work, family, etc., the Z was what I wanted for ME. So here I am today. Once a Z lover, ALWAYS a Z lover! Good luck and welcome!
