Welcome! I had a choice between the auto and the standard and went with the auto because I can't eat my burger, text and shift at the same time!

Yea, I know what you mean, not to mention that my wife hasn't learned to drive a stick. She hasn't driven the Z yet, but she could if she wanted, since it's an automatic. I've driven/owned manual shift vehicles in the past, but I definitely prefer the convenience of an automatic transmission. Besides, with the computers that they have in these cars, is the performance gap between MT and AT significant? I know that my AT 370Z seems to shift really quickly. Disclaimer: I am not a professional driver.

9 times out of 10 the 7AT is quicker than the 6MT in the 1/4 mile.

LOL! Although mine is an automatic, if my wife touches my Z, the gloves are off!!! That's loss of fingers in some countries!

LOL. Today, I was at a paddle tournament with my wife in which she was a participant. Some of her girl friends asked her whether my Z was hers. She said, "No. It's my husband's car." One of her girl friends responded with, "It's your husband's car so it's your car." My wife responded with, "No. It's his car." That's a good wife.
