New(er) Member from SoCal

Hey guys, I've been lurking on here for awhile and I joined up about a month or so ago. I've owned Zs my entire life with cars, first a Z31, then a couple more Z31s, then a couple Z32s, as well as an S2000. I was never a huge fan of the 350z, but when the 370z debuted, I fell in love.

I've been really wanting a Z34 for a few years now, but previously college and other financial challenges got in the way. I've finally almost got all my ducks in a row with regard to finances, so the real search is beginning.

I'd prefer to buy used, just from a price standpoint, but I definitely need financing. I've been looking around at different dealerships all over SoCal and I'm still a bit conflicted on whom to trust. (I know I want a sport model with a 6 speed trans.) I've peeked around a few of the big LA-area dealers, as well as a couple in San Diego (Fontana, Universal City, Pacific, Mossy and obligatory CarMax). I've seen a couple deals at CarMax that struck my fancy, so I wanted to ask for people's advice on whether they'd be reputable to trust for a Z. (I've heard horror stories as well as quite a few positives regarding them, but all on random cars, not necessarily sports cars.)

If anybody has any advice to give, that'd be really awesome and I'd be incredibly appreciative!
