Hello.... From SRT-4 to 370Z?!?!?!
Hello, my name is Samm.
I have a 2008 Dodge SRT-4 with only 2,900 miles(owned for 1 1/4 years!). It's quick, with about 330ish whp now, but most of that is lost in front wheel hop.... Anyways i am considering one of 3 Z's.... A New 370z with sport package The Nismo 370Z when it comes out next month(price? i've seen from $37k to $45k) a BRAND NEW 2008 Nismo 350Z at a dealership for $30k.... What are your guys' opinions on what i should consider, as i am NEW to the Z world, and dont wanna make a wrong choice.... Thanks! |

^ gotta agree but all depends on what you wanna do... if you wanna mod the crap out of it... probably go w/ the 370z non nismo... why waste all the work they have already done?

Thats a hard one!!
If you can make your self wait im sure the 370z nismo will be well worth it. Depends on you...but if you can't wait...Id be hard pressed to decide between a Nismo 350z and a 370z touring sport. |

If you plan to mod... then the 370Z base + sport package
If you plan to get the Nismo 370Z, the only thing I would do is add high flow cats and maybe a better tune from osiris so you can switch between Nismo stock and performance maps. If you can only spend 30K, you can't beat the Nismo 350Z. It can still hang with the 370Z at the track, looks great too! |

To help you in the decision making process consider this: A full bolt HR 350z with a tune will produce ~320WHP. Budget for all these mods will be ~2k - 2.5k and that's including labor.
Also, it depends on how much modding you really want to do with your car. If you get the Nismo 370z, you exterior modifications should not even be in consideration, same for Nismo 350z. It's their exteriors that sets them apart. Now you can do a little calculation on how much modding 370z is going to cost you, and the price you're paying for it, and then see if it's really worth it. Haha no sentence check/grammar check. So it might be a little difficult to understand ^ |

Going from an SRT4 to a Z I would get a 370Z with the sport package...oh wait I did
Seems like your choice is going to be based on performance/dollars spent. Tough one. |

Naw he has an 08 Dodge SRT4 which is a Caliber. The SRT4 version doesn't look as bad. But you're right a 03-05 Dodge Neon SRT4 is very fast, especially with someone that knows how to drive it.
I wouldn't go picking on one simply because almost 90% of them are modded some how. |
