Cannot wait 'til April '12!
Hey, my names Michael and I own a 2003 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec-V. I've had it since I was 15. So it's been 5 years now. No, my parents didn't buy it for me. I used my own money that I saved. I still love my Sentra, but I'll be purchasing a 370z in April of 2012. I've been saving for a longgggg time. I'm gonna keep my Sentra for a Winter car, because im definitely not driving the 370z in snow with all the salt on the roads. Any pointers on where/how I could go about getting the best deal on one? It doesnt necessarily have to be brand new, but it would be preferable.

Welcome! My advice would be to figure out the options you want and then use a site like truecar.com to figure out what invoice pricing is on the car. Truecar.com will also give you info on what people are paying for the car in your area.

Hey Michael
When I was shopping around, I used amexnetwork.zag.com. Essentially what that site does is gives you a low ball number to start from, that if a dealer has what you select in a vehicle they can not deviate from the quote ZAG gives you... However, the dealer has wiggle room. There were unadvertised dealer incentives when I bought my car in the beginning of this month, which I was able to use to my advantage. All said and done I spent about 15 hours in dealers (travel time not included), and was able to get what I wanted for a pretty decent price. I was originally looking to buy used, however quickly found that for a used 09 Z with decent miles, would not be that much cheaper than a brand new one. All said and done the Car (2011 Z with sport package) was $31K even, and they gave me $4K for my trade in! Lots of luck to you. Word to the wise also... My Z came with wheel locks, make sure you get them!! They are worth their weight in gold!

Alright, I'll check that out. I'm looking to by close to new, because I want to know how it's been driven and if it's been beat on. I don't like not knowing for sure. I'm not that great at negotiating so hopefully I can have someone help me out. Definitely getting wheel locks haha.

Go through PenFed for a 2.49-3.99 financing deal. That's what I did when I bought the car in 2009
