Default New Kid in Town but Desperate to Own a Z car

Hi Yall!

Greeting from Texas!

This is my first time buying a car and I've so obsessed with the Z, so would you please give me advices or information on the car buying (I read a lot about the car buying process and the finance stuff, but still feel not confident enough to go to the dealer) What insurance company so I go with? (Allstate give me a quote of 1400/year since I'm financing the car) What is the different bw the base and the touring? Which the is better sport package? (S01 or the K96)

Thanks!!!

You will get the best deal financing externally, either with PenFed or with a credit union. PenFed is offering 3.99% on new car purchases. Nissan wont give any better than 5.99% even with A+ credit.

You're probably going to have to shop around some for insurance, this varies a lot state to state. Up here Amica is the cheapest if you are are 30+, but that may not be the case if you are in your 20's. There are some websites that may get you estimates for multiple carriers.

The touring package gets you the leather trimmed power seats, the Bose stereo, the rear cargo cover and the option of navigation.

There is only 1 sports package, S01. The other one is just a few aero bits. The sports package includes the 19" Rays with Bridgestone tires, Limited Slip Diff, and upgraded brakes (4 piston front calipers on 14" rotors and 2 piston rear calipers on 13.8" rotors).

TB, I just picked up my Z last night. It has both the Touring and Sports packages. With the Nav system, you forfeit the 6-disk CD changer but get a 95 GB Hard Drive to store all your music in.

Mine is empty atm, and I need to spend some time figuring out how it all works. Damn... I should have called in sick today.

EDIT: I also got the 7-speed auto trans, which I'm loving the hell out of already. The - + paddles rock!
