Figure i'd post up an introduction. Currently don't own any vehicle other than my beater. Just researching the car still. I was always a subaru nut and previously had a built GT30R powered STI, but had to sell due to unemployment some several months back. Started a new job a couple of months ago and now i'm back car shopping again. I don't know how much i can take driving my beater honda passport, i'm in the process of selling my motorcycle to make room for a fun weekend car. Any who, been looking at the 370z more and more, and it definitely qualifies more as a driver's car. And i'm looking for more of the functional sports car. Not saying the STI didn't but i bought that car for the sportiness and practicality and now that i have the DD i think i can have something that a little less practical being that it will be my weekend/summer driver. I'm still up in the air though, i've looked at newer sti's and even considered a '11 5.0 mustang with track pack. All in all the 370 still has that appeal. So hopefully i will learn much more about the car while i'm here and possibly pick one up in the near future.

coming from someone who currently has an 11' sti and Had a 370 you will not be upset. I loved the 370 and I would still have it if it wasn't totaled (not my fault). but compared to the sti it has a much sportier feel considering the size and that it is a two seater. I looked at the 5.0 mustang as well after the 370 but I didn't think It would match up to the drivers experience I had with the Z.

I wanted to at first. But I wanted to rebuild it to be the same exact car as my other Z, but I knew that would cost a lot of money and time. Most of my aftermarket parts were ruined off the Z. So I figured I would start fresh and try to build something new. I also needed something a little more practical so it was a good time to make the switch, but I still wish I had that Z sometimes.

It is hard to repeat the same process again. When i built my first STI it was just long exhausting process and sometimes stressful, but in the end it was awesome. But Going through it again didn't seem feasible, it was just that feeling of been there done that. I don't think i'll build another one for quite some time. I would consider buying one that is already built just to feel like i'm start off where i left off before, but that can be difficult b/c you will probably end up dealing with some else's problems.

I really just want a sporty coupe, something i can do some minor suspension and performance bolt-on's and bling it up with some staggered wheels and nice lip kit.
