Well, I've wanted a Z since '72. My brother-in-law had a Scarab Z (if anyone remembers those). I just bought the 2010 370Z Touring with the automatic. Its color is Gun Metal which I think is just beautiful, having passed up less expensive used 2009s in Red and Blue. It's a beautiful car. I've read many of the DIY posts and believe most of you are insane so I think this is going to be a good fit. I used to work on cars but haven't in years. The oil-cooling issue is getting me a little spooked but I've only had the car for 3 days and haven't seen the oil temp go over 210, even when it hit 100 in the San Fernando Valley and fought bumper to bumper traffic to get home.

As they say in Texas, "I look forward to hearing from all y'all."

Charles, congratulations and welcome aboard! Unless you plan to track your Z, an oil cooler should not be required unless you see extreme temps in routine traffic. 220 is about what most people will see when driving in everyday traffic.

Thanks everyone for the welcome. Jon, thanks for the input. I was obsessing a little bit over that.
