Hello guys, I've been on the fence of buying a 370z for the past months, but now I'm sure, prob around the next 6-7+months, when winter time is about to come, better deals might pop up around that time of the year, It will be a 2009 touring and needs to have the sport package, still undecided about 6spd or auto; We'll see when the time comes what deals are floating around and that might help me decide.. since I wont be financing, I want to get the best deal possible.

In the meantime I'll try to gather as much information for possible mods, probably all the boltons + a tune and it'll be good enough for me, anywhere around 315rwhp..

see you guys around!!

welcome, good to see you are doing your research before picking up the car. 315whp is very attainable with the basic bolt ons, best of luck with the search!

Welcome. If you are really looking for a 2009, chances are they are already willing to go as low as possible -- waiting until winter won't change the perceived value of a 2 -3 year old car much. Winter would be the time to shop for a 2011 since the 2012s would just be arriving.

From what've seen last three month of the years is usually the best time to buy, some people cant even driven them during winter time in some states, and others grab the "end of the year new car craze", and are willing to let them go for a lower price than usual. Also, I still need to get part of the $$ wich I'll pretty sure have by this time..

Yea, you may be right. I really just meant that the difference may not be as large as you think if you are getting it from a dealership. If you are looking for left-over stock or a trade-in from a dealership (are there any new 2009s left?), those are probably rock bottom already.

As for private sellers, a motivated seller trumps just about anything so if you find one and have the cash you'd likely get as good of a deal now or in a few months as you would in the winter. On the other hand, you may find a like-minded individual who, as you suggest, is looking to buy new and would get a better price from you than from a trade-in.
