Default zed-er here

Hi everyone,

I'm zed-er, a prospective 370Z owner in SoCal. I went to the Z Reveal at Chiat/Day last weekend and was blown away by the car. It's an awful lot of car for the money. You can see my photo album called 370Z Launch to see how the proceedings went, if you haven't seen any pics yet. If you haven't seen the car yet, try to keep from coming to any conclusions about the design until you do. I know that'll be hard to do, but you'll be glad you did. It looks so much better in person. I think you'll be surprised.

Currently have a 2007 Porsche Cayenne S Titanium and a 2001 Lexus IS 300 (over 200,000 miles) in the garage. Looking to replace the Lex with the new Zed-er. I had been looking at a used Cayman S until I found out about the 370Z. I just think it's a great alternative at a great price.

I've owned all kinds of cars over the years: bunch of Porsches, cars from M-B, Jaguar, VW, Saab/Subaru, Pontiac, Chevy, Mazda, Toyota.

I like the new Z because it just cuts to the bottom line; it's a sports car without too many frills at a great price. Even the loaded Touring trim can be had at a great price. It's just a great value.

I like this forum over some of the other Z forums because I don't sense the attitude here. On some of the other forums, people are so quick to respond with dumb replies like "FAIL!" It's as if they think their sarcastic comments about other peoples' posts and opinions are somehow brilliant! I guess they think this somehow makes themselves sound intelligent or superior, but they just sound stupid and overbearing. Nearly every thread deteriorates into a shouting match and name calling. It's really tiresome.

I hope we can keep this forum above the fray and make room for everybody's point of view - without the biting sarcasm.

I'll do my part!

Got any picture of them?
