Default Heya from Jasmine, downunder

Hi Guys,
I am from Canberra Australia, I am yet to buy a 370z. I need help with couple of things, I cant choose between monterey blue and quartz/gun metal. I know it's a personal preference but would like to hear what you think colourwise in terms of dirt/damage!? Also a manual or an auto? I used to own a black 350z MT.
Your opinion will be greatly appreciated

Cool easy choice

get the sport package and you can check out the synchro rev match

plus you get the rays

manual for sure in the metal color

unless you want black like before

welcome

hello and welcome.

As for paint color, obv it's personal. Blue will pop more in the sun, but GM will hide dirt better.

I say go manual. I'm biased, as I drive stick, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

Personally both the blue and the GM look great. It depends on how much time you're gonna have to care for the exterior... If plenty, you could do blue, which looks great with black/CF mods. If possibly not, as said the GM would hide dirt better.

As for trans, I'd say if you've had the manual and you're comfortable with it in your location, stick with what you know. The MT is made for those who enjoy it and plan to push the car hard on a track. However the AT in the 370 is a vastly improved AT over previous models. It handles quick high RPM shifts quite nicely, and still has that neck snapping torque you'd be used to from a manual.

Takeaway: that the 7AT vs the 6MT stock v stock the 7AT will win. Proven. (Of course with an extremely skilled MT driver, things may change, but as it stands the AT shifts faster)

There are no "packages" for the 370Z in Australia. They all come fully loaded, you get the choice of automatic or manual, roadster or coupe. Even more strangely in the first year of production they all came delivered with the base 18" wheels! They are coming with the 19" wheels now.

GM

AT/MT is up to you. I really like the AT, but it is keeping me from getting F.I for now until it is more reliable with the added torque. If I had gotten a MT I would be getting a TT kit by now and not doing all this body work.

Thank you all for your input!, GM is fantastic but I see them on road very often, so I thought MB will stand out more if it's washed and maintained properly.
When it comes to manual or auto, I think I will go with the manual as I'm driving manual all my life. I just got a little puzzled with all the feedback on forum and very positive opinions about AUTO; I will test drive both auto and manual just in case - but my heart leans toward manual..

That's right! - when it comes to interior only one option: black with leather.

Go with blue, doesn't show dirt very much or anything like that. And it looks bangin' in the sunlight. Pics don't give it justice at all.
