So I've been lurking for a few months just nosing around while deciding on what car I want to get. Now that I've finally decided, I figured I should join up. I've decided to get a 2011 NISMO 370Z. I'm going to be paying a deposit for it in the next week or so. This way when I get home on my R&R from Afghanistan I can go the dealership and they will have the car there so I can take it home the same day; provided we agree on the price lol. This will also be my first vehicle I've owned that is newer than a 1993 model, currently I have a 93 F150 Lightning with only 50k miles

Thanks for your service/sacrifice and welcome! We'll look forward to seeing pics of your Z should the deal work for you.

Well, looks like I won't be getting the NISMO. The dealership couldn't get it for what he had agreed on and what they could get it for was to much for me. It sucks but oh well. Still getting a Z though.

So question, the dealership just got a 2010 40th anniversary 370Z in Platinum graphite (which is the color I want). The thing is that they are asking 33k for it and it has 15k miles on it already. I need help deciding if I want to do this or go with a new 370Z with the sport package which I've already got locked in for 30k. What do you guys think?
--edit-- It is a one owner car and from the carfax report it was serviced at the dealer every 3k miles so from the time it was new till now it has been serviced at this dealership. Last edited by Skeeterbop; 01-17-2011 at 12:33 PM. |

I am also looking at getting a 370z, but when I return from Afghanistan. By then, I could take adv of the year end sales Any idea why you want to get it when you go on RnR? To me that is a crazy idea to get it when you on leave then for you to fly back and have someone else use it or store it. You should wait til you redeploy You should possibly look for a new one or one with very low miles.

I'm trying to get it while on R&R cause I'm going really late. By the time I get back from R&R it will be about a month before we are leaving.

Now for the next thing, I want to get a personalized license plate. I was thinking "SKETRBP" not sure if that would work for anyone that doesn't know it's missing a couple of vowels. Any other ideas?
