Hey Guys!!!
My 370Z is currently incoming from Japan - approx 1/2 weeks away (I ordered over 4 weeks ago). I'm looking forward to being part of a great crowd - I've been browsing the forums for quite a while and just realized I wasn't registered! I have a few questions (although I will probably get redirected!): Anyone know where I can get Volks in Australia? Also - I am placing an order on FI catbacks, 18 inch resonators and HFCs. However I really wanted the LTH from FI as well. However the LTHs from FI as Tony thankfully pointed out cannot fit in a RHD vehicle! So I did a quick google search for LTH 370Z and came across PPE who also do LTH! However, they kindly emailed back saying that they too cannot fit in a RHD vehicle due to the steering shaft. First of all, do the stock headers on RHD 370Z fit the FI exhaust system. And secondly if not where can I find LTH which are for RHD 370Zs? PPE kindly said they can make me a set if I can bring my car to them - but chances of that happening are close to zero. Regards, Chris |

VOLKS are available from Hawthorn Tyrepower in Melbourne - find them on the web via Google - talk to Sam - very helpful guy. If you are not located in Victoria, Sam can freight wheels interstate for ~$12/wheel. LTH are illegal in all Australian States. Be prepared for up $22k fine if you are in Vic and you are caught by an EPA inspector - other states are a little more lenient. Police will give you a yellow slip if they know what they are looking for/at. I have Stillen headers fitted but I did require to modify the lower steering knuckle to get the right amount of clearance .. all US-sourced headers suffer from a similar problem given they build clearance in to the other side - PM me and I can send you some photo's - it is not a difficult thing to do. I fitted BERK HFC's after the headers rather than LTH for the simple reason that the cat remains in the standard spot (which is what makes LTH illegal under ADR's). You might consider the HiTech CBE if you are looking at headers, HFC and CBE - they are based in Sydney and do an excellent system, overnight delviery to all Oz-states - might take a sale from a US-based supplier on this board, BUT they offer a stainless system at a good price and are local from a warranty persepctive (apologies to all the CBE suppliers on the board). If you have other questions, feel free to PM me (I'm located in Melbourne). RB Last edited by BGTV8; 08-31-2010 at 10:06 PM. |
