thanks for the info dude... the winter driving thing is really the only thing holding me back from picking one of these cars up right now... my mustang 5.0 was no fun at all driving in the snow, not looking forward to ever going through that again... too bad the G37's are not nearly as appealing as the Z's.
As long as you pick up a set of snow wheels/tires I think you'll find out the car will be fine in the winter... but ideally you'd snap up a beater for winter use.

mind if i ask you if you think the navi option is worth the money on these cars, or if an aftermarket unit is the way to go?
Here's how I look at it:

a. IF you're already going for Touring model (leather seating), you might as well add the factory nav because it's dirt cheap (about $1600 invoice). It's VERY well integrated and the dash looks 10x better. However, the drawback is if you want to update the maps/software, you must go to dealer. I believe it cost like $175 (someone can correct me).

b. If you're getting Base (or base with sports package), aftermarket should def be your ultimate choice. Just to get the nav, you have to fork out another 3-4000 dollars for touring model. Also, I have been very happy with my Kenwood DNX. Updating the maps are FREE from the manufacturer.

Good luck

It does traffic updates through the XM service. So far the map has been good with nothing I have had to ad yet. I do think I will have to update maybe next year. It cannot play DVDs but is equipped with intergrated Iphone/Ipod fuctions as well as rca inputs to play video on the screen
