Hello All
Just saying hi. Currently looking into getting a 370z soon, but probably not til fall... so i'll probably be waiting until the following spring since winters won't be too much fun with it.
Currently I'm driving a 04 Evo, while it's fun and all it's getting up there in the miles, so I've been looking for something else. And after an eclipse gsx and evo I think i'm done with the turbo/awd game for a little while. Only thing is I'll probably be the only one with a child seat in the front lol!!! (one good thing about the evo). But the wifey just got an equinox so we can haul stuff in that Just trying to justify the impracticality of trading the evo for the Z with a 1.5 year old son. Anyone else have kids in their Zs? -Mike |

Welcome to the board, Mike. I don't have kids yet (and don't plan on starting for another 4-5 years) so I can't help you there. Do you have another car? Perhaps a 4 door?
I'll be honest. As much as I love the 370z, I would say it'd be a bad choice with a 1 year old child and without a second car. Although, right now you can get a cheap second car (for like $1-2K) and have a car to drive your son around until he's old enough to sit in the Z! The Evo has back seats and that makes it a nice daily even if you have very young kids. I wish you luck in your decision. I'm sure there's lots of guys on this board that are in the same (and very lucky) position, having children.

Well yeah the wife has her suv for when we need to take the family somewhere, which is how it is even with having the evo anyways. When my son and I take the evo anywhere it's just the 2 of us, which is why I'm trying to tell myself it'll be ok have the Z since it'll just be me and him. After talking to some ppl about it at the Chicago Autoshow friday and reading the manual on it... the front seat is "car seat ready" and disables the passenger airbag and has car seat anchors and all just like pick up trucks that don't have the 2nd row.

I'm in the same boat, have a 5 year old that still uses the booster seat The air bag goes off when the seat is in there. My wife has an SUV too, so that's what we use on the family outings etc.
No problems so far

LOL! I think one is already for sale on this forum! AK (Our admin) may need to put up a non-z sale forum.
