Considering coming over to the dark side...
Ever since I was a kid, I owned American V8 powered cars. I has never owned anything with less than 302 cubic inches of displacement--until now.
My first car was a '93 crown vic with a 5.4L motor swap. Next came a 95 Trans Am Then a build '88 5.0 GT Then a 2001 WS6 Now I drive an Infiniti G20. I bought the G20 as a daily for when I buy a sports car. I want to garage the sports car, DD the G20, etc. I bought a Nissan (Infinity/whatever) because of the reputation for reliability, my respect for Japanese work ethic, and because well, my Ws6 kept falling apart. That car was fast as heck (Killed Z4M's, NSX's, Challenger R/T's etc. etc. without much effort on my part). However, now I own a dog-slow Nissan. But the thing HANDLES! It handles nearly as well as my WS6 did, and if the tires were wider, I bet it would out-handle it. It stops on a dime. Get this...108K miles and other than a motor-mount or tranny mount (not sure yet) going bad on me (common in the P11 platform, I hear), it has NO rattles or vibrations or anything. It's rock solid! My Ws6, Mustang, and Trans Am all sounded like a percussion band far before 100K miles. I am starting to appreciate the build quality that Nissan/Infinity offer.
