Noob from KS

Hi,

This is my first time purchasing a new car as well as posting on an auto forum.

The people here seem really pleasant and helpful, which is why I've mustered the guts to say "hi." :hello:

I'm also curious as to what prices people seem to be getting touring editions in auto transmission. The dealers here wont budge below $37k post tax... I've looked at another thread, and a user mentioned that he was able to get one (similar package) for ~$32k.

Currently reading up on how to negotiate with the dealers thread. Very helpful stuff!

If all goes well, maybe I could have a 370Z in a month or two!

Cheers!

Most 2010's are going at invoice from what I have seen.

Welcome! What part of KS are you in?

Wichita

Cool. Good luck on the Z! We're only 3hrs away if you need anything.

a Touring W/ Sport 7AT for 37K would be a good price at this stage of the game for a 2010. If you don't want the sport you should be able to get it lower

I was looking at the following build:

Touring Edition - Automatic Transmission (2010 preferred, open to deals on something from 2009)
Platinum Graphite Exterior
Black Leather Interior
Navigation Package addon.

@fullmonty: I can't seem to catch anything less than $37k+tax for the build mentioned above...

At this point, I'm also considering looking into used 370Zs.

If anyone can offer any help or guidelines, I'd most appreciate it!

I have given you pricing for less. I just don't see your goal for a Touring + Nav for 30-32K. Unless you are finding a dealer that really wants to lose money bad, you may need to set your sites on a base.

spawnoftoday 04-28-2010 08:02 PM

Lou, I understand, and like I mentioned before, am willing to go up to $35k inclusive of all taxes and fees. That's all the money I have...

I'm open to all deals under the stated value.

fullmonty 04-28-2010 08:33 PM

If you're limit is in the 35K range and have your heart set on that build you might be better off looking into a used Z

What's your tax rate?

spawnoftoday 04-28-2010 10:21 PM

Just called a local dealership. The tax rate is 7.8% in Kansas.

Also, does anyone know when the 2011 lineup releases? That should also help drop prices for the 2009/10 models, right?
