New to the forums! potential 370z owner
Hey everyone,
My name is Jesse and I'm currently serving in the US Army. I'm in the Hawijah sector in Iraq at the moment and will be back in the states (Hell Paso) in August 2010. When I left on this deployment, I joined the VW forums. I had test driven the GTI 3x and was determined to save and get one. I still haven't made my mind up for sure between it and the 370z. I've been visiting these forums for info for the last few months and decided to become a member. I have to say, there's a lot of support here! Thanks to everyone and their input I've researched just about everything I can think of for this car. I've saved $15000 in the bank right now and I'll be at $25000 in August when I leave. Already spoke with my bank and they said they'd finance me up to $20000 on a car of my choice as long as I put half of it down in cash. Here's where I'm at right now. 2010 Black 2dr GTI with bixenons, sunroof, and mats for $27000 including TTL. I decided that if I buy the GTI I'd want new wheels and coilovers and I'd have to chip it and do some performance mods to get the car where I'd want it. Decided that it would be easier to just buy the 370z since in the long run it'll cost about the same and it looks 1000x better in my honest opinion. I'm going to head over to the correct forum and post something about my dealer experience of right now. Nice to meet you all! Jesse |

Thanks for the support. I know I'll love it! I've wanted nissan's my whole life and have never been to afford what I've wanted. Started with a 240sx when I was a teenager. Then a 300zx. Now finally I have the funds and just in time for the 370z to have a year under it's belt. I'm stoked to get it.

My roommate has an 07 GTI with pulleys, H&R springs, a straight pipe exhaust/downpipe, bov, and a stage 2 APR tune. It's pretty nice, but he still drools over my car. The plus side is, I can fit more boxes in his car!

yeah, the new MKVI GTI vs the MKV is night and day I think. I love the new ones!!! The interior is very refined and the turbo is fun. Plus it'd be nice having more than just one passenger seat. But I've been riding my gsxr600 for 1 year as my one and only vehicle and i'm not too worried about the passenger thing or extra room.
