Dealerships in the Bay Area just received their 40th Anniversary edition last month. I spoke with two contacts at separate dealerships and they both wanted at least full MSRP. However, after a couple of weeks, none of the dealership have sold their 40th Anniversary Edition. Most dealerships got only one unit from Nissan.
I just purchased a 2010 Nismo back in February. Due to the limited production, the dealership said the best they could do is $100 of MSRP, but after a few weeks later none of their Nismo were sold so I got it for $5,000 off MSRP. You many think that Buyers are running into the dealerships to buy the special edition, but at the end of the car is still sitting on the dealer's lot. Hold tight they will break and you may get your deal. The economy is not like what is was a couple of years ago. The dealership know this, but they are hoping that you will buy with your emotions. Do not buy on impulse.... |
