New guy saying hi.

New to this forum. Have lurked a long while on others. Just saying hi and introducing myself. Hope to bring some 'truth' to the370Z.com.

Zaggeron 03-24-2010 08:55 PM

howdy ... hmmm should I bite? :stirthepot: What sort of truth are you planning on wheeling out in your truthmobile?

fullmonty 03-24-2010 08:58 PM

Welcome! Don't mind Zag!

the-truth 03-24-2010 09:09 PM

Thanks for the welcome guys. Zaggeron, it really all depends on what truth I have to share. Hopefully I can help others in many different arenas. We all have knowledge to share, and hopefully I can contribute to this forum with something that benefits its members. Or maybe I just wanted a witty quip for my chosen screen name? :p

Or the "truth" as in just the plain old truth. So, what is all of the hub-bub about the ashtray thread? Is this something I should check out?

Naw no hub-bub.... jut a thread about where you keep your change since there's no ashtray in the Z. Just joking around with ya anyway.

You thinking about picking up a 370? What do you drive now?

Well, crikey. I was hoping for a good thread to feast my eyes upon. I am hoping to pick up a 370 or GT-R very soon. I have yet to decide upon which I prefer. I have test driven both, but I am still very undecided. Quite the difference between the two, but each are markedly enjoyable in their own ways. Currently I drive a completely stock BMW 335i.

Cool. Trading in the 335 or adding to the stable? WRT interesting posts, there are various search functions that are very helpful. I find the "new posts" link near the top of the page very useful.

Thanks! True, there is little truth in those descriptions. heh. Though, I could certainly defend the one entitled "Drives:". I have nicked my 335i the "Truth Mobile".

Actually, I plan to keep the BMW and add the next vehicle. But, I prefer to modify whichever Nissan I choose instead of the BMW. This is one reason I have joined a few Nissan based forums. I have lurked on my350z, NAGTROC, here and a few other select forums for information. It seems this platform is ripe for modifying. BMW will remain the daily driver and Nissan will be the toy.

Welcome to the discussion Truthy -- as you no doubt already know from your time spent lurking, some good folks hanging out here and a lot of great information -- no lie.....:icon17:

I am just speaking from experience the more you push about "the truth" the more people think your a liar or a crazy nut... just speaking from personal experience. Anyway, welcome and I hope you have a great stay here at the370z hotel you can check in anytime you like. But you can never leave...

You lost me, good sir. I am not sure I quite grasp what you are trying to say to me. But, thank you for the welcome.

Just some quips on my chosen screen name as explained above. :)

bullitt5897 03-25-2010 05:02 PM

I may be jaded as there is a bunch of stuff going on locally here in GA and your post regarding the short block has me wondering where you come from. If its total innocence and no hidden motive then AWESOME I welcome you with open arms. However, you showed up asking the wrong questions at the wrong time to not be suspect.

I hope you just innocently asked those questions in the other thread. I dont like people playing games and there is a whole bunch of crap going on around the build you were asking about. I only know 2nd hand information about the build but from my perspective the whole situation was fubar...

Welcome! Good to see another member our side of the pond. You wont be dissapointed with the 370z or GTR, two very diffferent beasts. In the UK I'd say you'd get more fun from the 370z just because the roads arent really good or fast enough to extract the best from a GTR - unless you want to do some track work.

Wow..how can you be undecided? I love my Z like crazy but if I had the money..it would be a no brainer to pick up the GTR! I actually shed a tear or two when I seen it being introduced at the car show 2 years ago. LOL

The indecision stems from what I have read on both vehicles. The GT-R, though touted very highly, seems to have some issues that are leaving the owners dissatisfied at times. The 370Z seems more accepted by its owners with less complaints.

Though, the recent incident posted on this forum where the owner had a "Toyota" experience is a bit disheartening. I am anxiously awaiting more information on that front.

Whichever route I choose, I feel I will be committing to a quality vehicle that will bring years of enjoyment.

Second wealthiest. But, please do not hold my lack of social stature against me.
