From one of the younger members here, I find I get the most useful information and entertaining posts from some of the older members here. Glad you enjoy the ride.

First you have to be young and dumb before you are old and wise. This only holds true if you survive your youth.

Welcome to the club. 51 years young and drive a twin Turbo 370z around with 718hp at the wheel when it is running right. LOL You are never too old.

Congratulations on the Z bought mine as retirement gift to me in 2012 and I will be 60 in a week in half. Mine will pretty much be a track rat or should I say cat! Her name is Tora which is Tiger in Japanese. She is being rebuilt as we speak and looking at 750 plus! Don't suck go fast!

I'm 75 and I now look for excuses to run errands so I can drive the car.

I have memories of stopping by a lot to check out a just release 350z, which I could not afford. Years later I'd repeat the same stop and look, this time the 370z in glorious yellow. Still could not afford. Finally in 2017 at 54 yrs of age, I would stop but this time leave with a Z. I think the saying goes with great power, the timing was right.

I bought my first Z I was 60 years old a 2008 350Z Convertible, then cancer came around and I sold it but five years after cancer free bought a Porsche Boxster S and now I will be 70 in a few months and last year I traded the Porsche for a 2016 370Z 6 speed Convertible. So age is just a number, I drive it weekends to go play golf and to ride around.

Congrats Grandpa. Unfortunately while this won't turn back the clock, it sure makes the time going by a helluva lot more fun. I'm 69 and and lifelong Z-car owner starting with 1972 240Z (and actually a 1968 Datsun 1600 before that). Since then, it's been a 1990 300Z 2+2, 1995 300Z 2+2, 1995 300ZXTT, 2010 370 40th AE, and now 2016 Nismo 370.

If you have a track nearby, I'd encourage you to go out and give it try. I've met very few that gave it a shot and didn't think it was the best thing they've ever done, especially if you can find a good organizer that offers in car coaching. You can find all the tips and help you can stand on this site, but nothing replaces that day when you say "I'm going to give this a try". It will also very likely lead you to many new friendships as well.

In any case, welcome to our special group, and here's to many hours and miles of smiles!

Agreed! Don't do it if you don't want to get addicted. It has cost me thousands and thousands of dollars and I am not done yet. Way better than hooker and blow!!!

Congratulations on the Z! This forum has a wealth of knowledge from experienced people :). Many of the seasoned OG's are keeping this place alive and kicking. Facebook doesn't compare to this forum IMO.

Did Old Guy checked in here already?

Please guide the old man to this thread...He might have ventured to the gentleman's club premium section!

Please get him out of there before he suffers a heart attack!
